Good evening everyone,
I am excited for everyone to come out to Parma for this fun conference event. Hopefully everyone has a good time and makes good use of the free sanctioned round.
Firstly, it will be wet during singles, we have to gamble up here in Rochester and we lost sadly. The precipitation should calm down around 11am but be prepared for wet feet.
Moving onto structure, this will be run just like previous conference events. The first round is sanctioned and will be a shotgun start at 9:00am and scored on PDGA Live. We will play the White tee to the White basket for the singles round, except for hole 8, which we will play from the Blue tee. This should allow for some good scores to come in and give everyone a chance. Please note, the White tee is the closest tee on most holes. After round one, we will be playing college format alternating doubles from the long tees. We will score on UDisc, all the teams should be made already. Round two will start one hour (possibly one and a half, I will send out an email tomorrow) after the last card comes in from round one.
The PDGA Live code is: wnyparma
I tried to be soft, but fair with OB. We are playing most OB where there are stakes. All OB is listed on PDGA Live
OBs:
Hole 1: OB white stakes perimeter and surrounded by water. Play stakes as OB line for the creek.
Hole 2: OB white stakes left and long of basket.
Hole 3: No OB.
Hole 4: No OB.
Hole 5: No OB.
Hole 6: No OB.
Hole 7: OB right and left defined by white stakes, behind the basket defined by white stakes.
Hole 8: OB path and beyond (if you're touching grass on the inbounds you are safe).
Hole 9: OB left and long defined by white stakes (some stakes have been torn up by construction, I will be flagging the gap, OB line continues in a straight line in line with the last two OB indicators).
Hole 10: Pond OB defined by white stakes.
Hole 11: No OB.
Hole 12: No OB.
Hole 13: No OB.
Hole 14: OB Woods beyond short basket defined by white stakes. OB continues left in a straight line from the left most stake, since there are stakes missing from the field. Again, OB does not begin until the stakes behind the short red basket.
Hole 15: OB over creek defined by white stakes.
Hole 16: OB creek defined by white stakes.
Hole 18: ISLAND, defined by white stakes. If your disc does not come to rest within the island, proceed to the drop zone. (The DZ to the right, square to the white basket, not the shorter left DZ, that is for the red basket).
NOTE: There are stakes to the left of Hole 14's tee, this is not in play, and OB on this hole begins behind the Red basket.
I will be in the small shelter just left of hole one, please see me to check in. Starting holes are listed on PDGA, tried to keep the walk reasonable for everyone.
If you have questions or suggestions, please feel free to email me.
Good luck to everyone and I am excited to see everyone out there tomorrow!
Sincerely,
Jason Otfinoski
