PLAYER INFORMATION BELOW PLEASE READ EVERYTHING!!!!

CARPOOL: The county has made it very clear that when events are happening at widefield everyone needs to carpool as much as possible due to the lack of parking. PLEASE DO THIS!!!!! THERE WILL BE A GIFT FOR EACH GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT CARPOOL!

PARKING: Parking will be on hole 1 in the regular parking lot, and then we will have people park on the street when full. Please remember when parking on the street DO NOT BLOCK driveways or peoples property entrances, we will have staff helping park in the morning, please utilize them!

LIVE SCORING: We are utilizing live scoring for this event, please ensure your phone's are charged. Here is a link about live scoring, if you are unfamiliar please read this PRIOR to the event

1ST ROUND: Check in at 8am-9am, 9am players meeting, tee off by 930am ( Players meeting will go over card assignments in the morning and afternoon, do not just go to your starting hole as there may be other announcements)

BREAK: Time of break will be announced as soon as the last card is in from the first round - There will be a break between rounds for 1 1/2 hours to allow players to go get food, since there will NOT be lunch provided

2ND ROUND: At the end of the break please return to Tournament Central for card placements for the second round, and we will say a few words, and send everyone back out quickly.

SMOKING AND DRINKING
-There is no smoking, vaping or drinking allowed during a sanctioned event, please remember this.
-It is from the time you are given your score card until the time you hand it back in to the tournament director. ( With live scoring as soon as you hit submit)
-Please do not bring anything onto the course during the event, and please remember during your breaks to stay away from tournament central if you are smoking

CADDYS AND SPECTATORS: Please remember you are to follow the Rules of Play for Competition while on the course with your players. Be advised Caddys/Spectators NOT ALLOWED TO: throw a disc at all, smoke or drink, make decisions for the players card, be a hindrance to any other player, etc. Any questions regarding this please contact me directly

RAFFLE & AWARDS: Raffle will happen and trophies will be awarded at Rookies Taphouse and Eatery following the event completion. There will be awards for 1st through 3rd in EVERY division. So, as soon as your card for second round is turned in, stop by tournament central and then you can head on down there, and staff will be there directing you to the Player Party ????

DO NOT JUMP FENCES AT WIDEFIELD TO RETRIEVE YOUR DISC, CONSIDER IT LOST

Two meter rule will NOT be in effect.

FEMALE COMPETITORS: On August 6th and 7th, women from all around the world will play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women's Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament will be submitted by the individual tournament directors and rated by the PDGA. These round ratings will be totaled and averaged to determine the player's "Global Score."

THROW LIKE A BUTTERFLY UPDATE!!!

With the lack of interest we have seen with registration for WGE Throw Like A Butterfly Two we have decided to change the event to a PLUS WGE EVENT.

THIS MEANS:

-All women players in our event are still competing in WGE worldwide

-All women player fees/pdga non member fees have been waived, so you can compete without a pdga membership, but all Mixed divisions will have to pay the 10$ non current pdga fee if they are not a current pdga member

-We are allowing mixed divisions to compete as well, if you are not okay with this change, please contact me directly at [email redacted]

-All women divisions will be on the short layout for widefield

-ALL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE A PLAYERS PACK

-All mixed divisions will be on a longer layout then the women players are

-All women players will be grouped together separate from the mixed players for card assignments

We are going to start by allowing all Mixed Junior Divisions, Mixed Novice Divisions, and Mixed Recreational Divisions to register. There is a cap on those divisions, so if you are unable to get in, please email me directly at [email redacted]
