Purpose -

Veterans for Vets is an event designed to meet three goals. First, it gives disc golfers a chance to play in an organized event during the winter months. Second, it provides an awesome environment for a disc golfer without any tournament experience to play in an organized event. Finally, it provides an opportunity for a local disc golf community to raise money that gets returned to that same community to organizations tasked with serving veterans!

This year we are raising donations for is the Idaho Backcountry Veterans. They are an outdoor nonprofit created for our Veterans to enjoy quality hunting, fishing, and other sporting activities. More information about their organization can be found here: https://backcountryveterans.org/

2019/2020 marked our inaugural Veterans for Vets program, and we consider it a great success. We have taken all of the players' and organizers' input into consideration and are working on making the 2023/2024 season even greater. This season, we have simplified the players package ordering process. Each players package will consist of one baseline putter and a premium midrange/driver.

We have also added a limited edition Dynamic Discs Fuzion Orbit Enforcer that can be purchased in addition to the player's pack as a resource to raise extra funds to cover expenses and/or go to the veteran organization.

Format -

THIS WILL BE A RANDOM DRAW BEST SHOT DOUBLES EVENT!!! Teams will be paired based on drawing cards. Divisions will be split up into two groups. One with higher level AMs and Pros. The other with lower level AM players. A player from each group will be teamed up together. The intention is to mix it up a little bit and have more evenly matched teams. Players will throw from the best shot.

Non-Sanctioned 1 Round event at Eagle Island State Park. Using the Amateur Lay-Out. Friendly/casual OB's to include water and barbed fence lines.

This event has 3 divisions:

Mixed Doubles is open to all players and skill levels. Female Doubles is open to all female players.

We also have 1 division that allows you to purchase the players pack only (NONP) if you cannot or choose not to participate. If the players pack needs shipped, please select the additional shipping charge.

This year, we are excited to announce a beginner-friendly player pack option! We ask you to let the TD know if you would like this option when registering. The discs in beginner-friendly pack are:

(Although these are what we are attempting to keep as options for players packages, they can change without notice depending on inventory levels. There also may be a few random molds we include as well from remaining previous Veterans for Vets inventory. Due to the overwhelming demand for disc golf, it has been a challenge to maintain a consistent inventory. Due to inventory constantly changing, we are unable to guarantee all mold offerings at this time.)
