We've got a great day ahead of us tomorrow. We've got $1100 in the ace pot, $250 added cash for the pros and a $150 gift card to Rapid Rivers Disc Golf up for grabs.
None of this would be possible without our friends at Meier's Creek and Rapid Rivers, who've supported the Syracuse Open flex start series throughout the year. I've got plenty of MCBC beer and merch available for you to win (details below) while Josh McClennon and RRDG will be at tournament HQ pushing some amazing price points on all MVP, Axiom and Streamline products. According to Josh, MVP has given its dealers a minimum advertised price holiday starting tomorrow. So be sure to check out his stock before or after your round!
All players must check in at least 20 minutes before their tee time. I'll be set up inside the VB lodge for the first time in local tournament history. For those familiar with the course, this is the building that the access road on Hole 16 leads to. You can see it down the hill to your right from Hole 1.
Players can park in the top lot or the right side of that access road (not the left side, please!). When both ends of the top lot have been filled, please start a row in the middle of that section. There's overflow parking available in the lower lot until sunset. I encourage you to put your car there if you plan on hanging at the park beyond your round.
At check-in, amateurs can pick up their players pack. Cash buy-ins for the ace pot will be taken and we'll be running another 50/50 raffle to benefit course expansion at Oxbow (ticket picked live on CNY Disc Golf at end of day).
In addition to Rapid Rivers, the CNYDGA store will be on-site vending. And I'll have a throw-off set up outside tournament HQ as well. Every player will get one throw to win a Meier's Creek beer or merch item!
After wrapping up at tournament HQ, you'll just need to walk up the hill to Hole 1 ahead of your tee time.
All cards will be responsible for keeping live score through the PDGA. Either download the app or go to:

Course OB (thanks to course steward Mike Timmons and Co. for helping get VB ready for tournament time!)
Hole 1: OB pond (surrounded by water; standard)
Hole 4: OB creek right and across (staked/flagged; standard)
Hole 5: OB creek (staked/flagged; standard)
Hole 7: OB pond (surrounded by water; optional DZ from white tee, can also play standard)
Hole 10: OB long (defined by wall and flags -- all OB drives go to drop zone; subsequent OB shots play standard)
Hole 13: OB road left and across (standard)
Hole 14: OB around pond (flagged) as well as road left and across. OB drives that go in the pond must go to the white tee as a drop zone. OB drives that go on or over the road must play standard. All subsequent OB shots play standard.
Hole 15: OB left (road and across), right (flags and across), long (stakes/flags) -- all play standard
Hole 16: OB left (stakes) and long (stakes, flags) -- both play standard
Hole 18: OB fence right (standard)
CTPs for the day:
Hole 9: $25 CTP (all pros)
Hole 11: $150 gift card to RRDG (all amateurs)
Hole 14: $25 CTP (all pros)
