There will NOT be a player meeting before round one. Round one will start at 8:30am sharp. Give yourself enough time to get to your assigned hole at least a few minutes early. I will blow an air horn twice for the two minute warning and one long blast to start each round.
All Am's can pick up their player pack disc between 7:30am and 8:00am near Hole 1 and the parking lot.
A Pool = MPO, MP40, MP60, MA1
B Pool = All other Amateur divisions
The A Pool will play the longest available tees to the longest available baskets both rounds.
The B Pool will play the shortest available tees to the shortest available both rounds.
Both Pools will throw from the upper teepad on hole 18.
On or across any roads or parking lot is OB except hole 18 where the road will play like a river where it is only OB if it comes to rest in the road. The roof near hole 2's basket is OB. On or across the path on hole 2 is OB, but not on hole 3. All water and fence lines are OB. The tall grass on holes 7 and 10 will not play as OB but spotters are highly recommended as there is a time limit for finding discs. If I can get a map made I will send a follow up email with that visual aid.
There is a chance for inclement weather (forecast for Saturday has cleared up). If there is lightning in the area we will stop until it passes. If you hear the air horn during either round, mark your lie and come off of the course. We will shelter in the Lakeside Center behind hole 3's teepad and hole 2's basket. In that situation, I would email everyone with a shotgun start time to continue where you and your group left off.
We will have side games of ctp contests on holes 1, and 17 each round. The flags will be left by the teepads for the first group that plays that hole to set out each round.
Please bring a charged phone and be ready to do digital scoring. Please have two players per card keeping score through PDGA live scoring. The web address for digital scoring is:
http://www.pdga.com/score
Or you can use the PDGA Live App
The event password is:
tcchamps
The scorers will enter their personal identification, which will pull up their whole card.
MAKE SURE TO SUBMIT & FINALIZE THE SCORES FOR EACH SCORER AFTER EACH ROUND! THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP!
There will NOT be a player meeting before round 2 either. I will send out another group email with the round 2 start time and hole assignments after the completion of round 1. If no one hits the optional ace pool, there will be a ctp throw off for the balance after round 2.
After any possible throw-off for the Ace Pool, we will have an awards ceremony and merch payouts at Flaherty's Bar & Grill at Flaherty's Bowl in Arden Hills not far from the course.
Ace pool and Pro payouts will be allocated via PayPal. Make sure that I have your correct PayPal email. Ams can redeem their merchandise payouts on site or in the future. Let me know if you have any questions. I am looking forward to the event!
