Is there a reason the event report hasn't been submitted yet?

Awesome - I see it now. Thanks again for running this. I had a lot of fun, wind notwithstanding.

Big kudos to Smoot and the club for putting together a great tourney. Thank you!

Hello, All as Daylight is a concern for the event, there will be a slight change to the layout. Round one will be Blue holes 1-9 and Whites 10-18. Its just a flip flop as the front blues are bit shorter than the back nine. The majority of the baskets are in place, hole 15 will be moved in the next few days. Second round will still be all Reds. An email to will be coming about a week prior with the Player Meeting guidelines.

Thanks

Smoot

I think it is a shame that calverts course pro Kevin Silverwolf Johnson is playing in the amateur division must be scared to play in the pro division because he knows he can't compete with the people at that level.

Just sour that you can’t beat him?

Rich (Dick) Myers   October 16, 2021 at 1:37am

Don’t worry, you can’t beat me either.

Mr. Smoot thank you for running this tournament. Without people like you tournaments don’t happen. Don’t take any guff from the guff givers.

Jay Wilkes and Chris Bleiler, 18 spots were reserved for sponsors, 30 were designated to club members, so the remaining 24 spots, 1/3rd of the field will be open for the public on Wednesday at 8. It sucks that tournaments fill so quickly and not everyone can get in. I truly apologize for this.

Thanks, John. I understand tourneys fill quickly, and potential entrants need to be aware when registrations open. That being noted, was there a link available to join the club or become a sponsor? As this is my home course, I would gladly join the club or considered sponsoring a hole if the opportunity was made available. Thanks again for any further info you can provide.

Chris Bleiler   October 11, 2021 at 5:40pm

John, Thank you for the information. I express the same sentiments as Jay. I understand that tournaments fill quickly, and reserving spots for club members and sponsors. I never saw any link or information for hole sponsors. Could you provide more information on how to join the club as well? I play Calvert regularly, and would love to get more involved.

How are Ams nearly full before registration opens? Is there another way to register prior to the posted date/time?

How did 42 people register when registration doesn't even open until 10/13?
