Good Afternoon Turkey Tossers!! With the tournament three days away, I wanted to reach out and go over a few VERY IMPORTANT details. Please read this email in full, as it actually does matter this time hahaha.
First things first… NEW COVID PROCEDURES!
- With the governors new mandate that went into effect Monday, large gatherings were reduced from 250 to 25. Thankfully, because of the nature of disc golf, we are still able to play. Although, in order to play, Lynchburg Parks and Recreation as well as the Lynchburg Health Department are holding me, and each one of you accountable to abide by certain rules. The health department has already shut down two events this year and they have no fear of shutting down more. Lets not let disc golf be one of them! BELOW ARE THE RULES AND REGULATIONS WE MUST FOLLOW AT ALL TIMES, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
1) NO standing with friends or gathering in groups larger than 25. Lets stick with small numbers such as 5-6. Play it safe!
2) PLEASE stay six feet from others when possible. This includes parking lots, on the course, EVERYWHERE.
3) DO NOT USE THE PRACTICE BASKET TO WARM UP! Spread out and use the other 18 options.
4) When you get to the course, GO STRAIGHT TO YOUR HOLE. Warm up on the course, somewhere other than near the parking lot.
5) After your round, don’t hang out. Leave the park. Lynchburg is a big place, go hangout somewhere else.
REQUIRED COVID-19 SCREENING
- Due to CDC and government regulations, everyone MUST go to this link and complete the survey before showing up Saturday morning. You can fill this out now, tomorrow, Saturday morning, I don’t care. But it must be done! For those of you with kids, feel free to just send 1 survey as long as everyone in symptom free.

This is not my rules, it is the government’s rules. I know it sucks, but I have had to jump through a million hoops to get this tournament approved. I’ve done what I can do, now it’s yalls turn! There is a 92% chance that someone from the health department comes by. They will leave as long as they like what they see. So just stay away from each other! Socialize with your card mates and other people later. A FEW PEOPLE NOT FOLLOWING RULES CAN RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE. If you don’t think you’ll be able to follow them, withdraw now.
Now for the tournament stuff…
