PARK ACCESS
The park opens at 7:00 a.m. Please enter through the auxiliary gate on County Road 45. The entrance is midway between the Ox Bow School and the main entrance to the park. You may park in the auxiliary lot just inside the gate or follow the dirt road to the right of hole #23 and turn left behind the basket and follow the road to one of two parking areas adjacent to Stable Shelter and the Ingold and Shenk Putting Green.
CHECK-IN AND PLAYERS MEETING
Check in BEGINS at 7:30 a.m. All players MUST check in at tournament central which will be located at Stable Shelter. Amateurs will pick up their player packs at this time. At 8:15 we will have a short players meeting. This is required.
GROUPS
For the first round you will be assigned your groups. Competitors will share a card with players in their same divisions unless an odd number requires players from more than one division to be together. Should a mixed card consist of player shooting different layouts, tee off from the main pads first and then proceed to the alternate pads for the remaining group members.
LAYOUT AND PLAY
Two rounds of 25 holes. The additional hole is #A. This 170-foot hole is located behind Stable Shelter. You will play it after finishing hole #1 and before teeing on hole #2. The scorecard will reflect this addition to the layout. Play will begin at 8:30 a.m.
OUT OF BOUNDS AND MANDATORY THROWS
Generally speaking, any thrown disc that lands on or over a road or property line, in or on a structure or in the river is out of bounds. Specifics for each hole are noted on the digital scorecard. There is a mandatory on hole #2. The disc must pass to the left of the mando, marked on a tree with orange paint. Failure to do so results in the next throw from the drop zone. There is a hazard on hole #5. Any disc that fails to land inside the foundation of the island is considered a hazard and one stroke is added to your final hole score. The boundary for the hazard is considered part of the hazard.
A disc must be completely surrounded by OB to be out of bounds. If any part of a disc is in bounds, the disc is in bounds and no penalty is assessed. If your disc is within one meter of the out of bounds line you may move the disc away from the OB line up to one meter in any direction toward the basket without penalty. You may not play (or stand prior to a throw) from out of bounds.
If you are unsure of a ruling you may declare a provisional throw and play the hole out from your lie as in bounds and out of bounds. You may take a picture of your lie to aid in describing your situation to the TD before he makes a ruling. Do not finalize your scorecards if you need a ruling on a lie until after the TD has ruled. Here is the hole-by-hole breakdown:
1 - In or over the road and behind the basket.
