Tournament Recap:

A big Thank you again to the Shelby Twp Parks Department for allowing us to close the parking lot for Course A – temp holes 10 – 18.

Also, to their Park Rangers who came out and cut the course including cleaning up basket areas for holes T10 and T12.

More thank you’s to Chef, Ryan Herzog, and Jason Fox for the extra baskets. 2J assisted virtually :-) !! We couldn’t host the extra holes without these guys. Thank you!

Additionally, the event would not have happened without extra efforts from Jason Fox and Dan James. They spend a lot of volunteer hours assisting. I appreciate all they do!

76 players x $5 = $380
59 Mulligans @ $5 = $295
54 Players in the $5 50/50 = $270, split = $135
50 $5 Raffle = $250
$360 donation
In all, we raised $1410 going into the Ice Bowl, 100% going to the Detroit Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

The distances are from last year. The plan is to make them the same but due to changes within the park, some may be altered a few feet or so. Also note, we will be playing this layout 1st then pulling the temp course and opening up the parking lot allowing those who want to enter the park in the afternoon access to the area. Two CTPs not shown on the map but listed are the 50/50 and Ace Pool throw-off. You will be throwing these two, as noted on the image, during the 2nd round.

The park crew and I drove around the course yesterday. They will be cutting and clearing more in time for the tournament on Sunday. I will be out on Halloween Friday painting the parking lot course and short tees for 25 and 26. Feel free to practice any of the parking lot holes but please do not throw any of them if there is a chance you may hit people or any vehicles (mostly holes 15 - 18).
