Hey Everybody,
I just wanted to get a note out to you all for Saturday. Looks like Mother Nature is going to grace us with a chilly but dry day. Probably going to need your hoodies for round one.
As has been the norm, we will be set up in the barn beside the playground up by the pool. Best parking would most likely be at the big parking lot by the ballfield up top close to the building.
We will begin check in at 8am. If you are bringing chili one of the guys will show you where to put your crock pot. Then come see me at check in so I know you are there and if you have tickets coming for the end of year drawing, I will give you those at that time. Marnie or Josh will be selling raffle tickets for the regular raffle (which will be our biggest one of the year) so you can pick those up if you like and of course grab your players pack disc.
If you are in the mood for a little extra craziness, I think we may try to do a few disc golf poker games (by division) what we do is get a max of nine people per division at a couple bucks each. You get a card for each deuce you record with a maximum of 5 cards earned. Those five cards are then paired with a three card community flop to get your best five card hand and it's winner take all. We will do it first round for sure and if you dig it, we can go again round two. It's an old favorite from our Pumpkin Pitch days. We will have a couple other fun things as well.
There will be a CTP on every hole except #12, which will be longest putt made. Some will be the regular cash CTP's for that division only, the rest will be for all players and will be for some minimal prize like a disc or something. In order to partake in any of the CTP's you must be entered in the Ace/CTP fund.
OB's will be on your live scoring app. But they are about as basic as it gets. No 2 meter rule. We will be playing 21 holes as we have in the past few years. Same three temp holes.
LUNCH..... lunch will be available for a donation. No set price, and we will have the same usual offerings as normal with chicken sammies and hot dogs and snack goods. As well as chili from our chili cookoff! Marnie asks that on your first time through, that you grab just one sandwich until we make sure everyone is taken care of, then feel free to come back for a second. Lunch is for players only until again, we make sure that everyone is taken care of. You guys and gals have always been great about looking out for each other, so let's please continue with that.
We will have a quick players meeting and a group photo over by hole ten at 9:10.
We will do payouts at the end of the day as quick as possible, please stay out of the payout area until your division is called, unless you are leaving and just want to buy something. Please use your savings Saturday as well. We will not carry anything over to next year. Once payouts are complete, the guys will fill the trailer and we will begin the end of year raffle. You all know it's a long day, but hopefully worth it for you. We will have some nice giveaway prizes for those who supported us by playing in at least five events during the year. For those not aware, if you played in five events you get a ticket, for each event after five you get an additional ticket. So if you played in eight events you would have 4 tickets in the drawing. We did have 6 players do all 11 events. (7 tickets for them) We have decided that you can only win ONE of the major prizes, when your second ticket is called you will have to choose one of the many other prizes not deemed a major.
That's a lot of info..... Groups are set and posted. Everyone drive safely and dress warm. We will see you Saturday morning for our final event of the season. #FindYourMojo
