We are so excited to see you this Saturday night for the Toronto GLOWpen at Dentonia Park! Before you head out, here are a few important details to make sure your night runs smoothly.
---
START TIME & LIGHTING NOTE:
The players meeting is at 7:00 PM sharp at Hole 1, with the shotgun start happening shortly after. We start just before sunset, so the first hole or two may still have some natural light, but by the time the meeting wraps up and we tee off, the glow will be in full effect. We planned the timing this way to make sure the round wraps up at a reasonable hour.
Have your discs charged and your UV flashlight ready from the start! ✨
---
LAYOUT:
Dentonia Park will be played in its full 18-hole configuration, utilizing the back area of the course. This temporary layout is only available during the Toronto Open, making this a rare opportunity to experience the complete course. All players will be on the same 18-hole layout.
---
AMENITIES:
The clubhouse is open until 9:00 PM and is serving snacks and hot and cold beverages, including alcohol. Washrooms are located at the clubhouse, south of the course and east of the parking lot, and is also open until 9:00 PM. The entrance is along the exterior of the subway building.
---
PARKING:
Parking at Dentonia is limited to 50 spots, so we strongly encourage taking the subway if you can. Victoria Park station is steps away from both check-in and Hole 1, making it the easiest way to get there.
If you are driving, please consider carpooling to help keep things moving on site. Please also note that the Green P parking at Victoria Park station is no longer available.
---
CHECK-IN:
Check-in opens at 6:00 PM INSIDE THE CLUBHOUSE. This is also where you can pick up any extras that you ordered during registration. Please arrive on time so you are ready for the 7:00 PM players meeting at Hole 1.
---
SCORING:
All scoring will be done on UDisc (under Events, then Tournaments). Make sure the app is downloaded and you are logged in before you arrive.
---
PLAYOFFS:
In the event of a tie, a CTP (Closest to the Pin) on Hole 1 will determine the winner.
---
COURSE CONDITIONS:
It's March in Toronto, so please dress accordingly! Layers are your best friend. We recommend a moisture-wicking base layer, a warm mid-layer, and a wind-resistant outer shell. Bring a warm hat and gloves that still allow you to grip a disc comfortably.
Be prepared for possible ice and/or mud on the course. Footwear with solid traction is strongly recommended. Your safety is the top priority, so please dress for the conditions.
---
OB & COURSE RULES:
- Out of Bounds: Golf greens, water, and roads are OB. Sand traps play as hazards.
- Hole 6 & 11: The top of the river embankment and beyond is OB.
- Holes 13, 14 & 15: A required relief area is in effect from the top of the bank to the bottom. This area must not be played from due to rocks, water, and a steep slope. Mark your lie where your disc entered the relief area with no penalty stroke applied.
(PDGA Rule 806.04)
- Optional relief (no penalty) is available from standing water or any unsafe footing due to icy conditions.
- Snow play rules are in effect.

That's everything you need to know! Come ready to throw, stay warm, and enjoy a night at Dentonia that has never been done before. ????
