To all the players registered for Tinicum and the few still on waitlist,
Parking/Carpooling: Tinicum Park is very strict about no one parking on the grass. The park has 64 parking spots. We have over 72 people. Carpooling is highly encouraged. Also because of parking spaces, no spectators. Cadies are only allowed if they come in a vehicle with a player. If you are starting on holes 1 to 9 don’t park in the small lot by the pavilion by 1/9/18.
Sign In: Tomorrow morning there is going to be no players meeting. This communication is all you should need to know. Everybody needs to come to the pavilion by 18s basket to let us know you are on site. Amateurs will then claim their players pack which is any two Discmania discs of choice. We want the stickers on the back. Then go to your starting hole. 7:30am to 8:30am
Round 1 will start promptly at 8:45am, two minutes can be shout at 8:43am by anybody.
Covid-19: All players must have a face covering with them at all times. When signing in and any other time you are in the pavilion you must wear a mask covering your mouth and nose. Before you touch anything in the pavilion you must use hand sanitizer. With recent news I have zero chill left about this and will disqualify people who do not comply. While playing it is easy to keep distance and if you do there really is no need for a mask. Lastly don’t touch anyone else discs or equipment.
Scorekeeping: Two different people need to keep score. One will use PDGA.comscore with access code Tinicum. Someone else on the card needs to keep score separately. I will be providing paper scorecards.
Lunch: The break between rounds is 45 minutes after the last card is in. You should be ready to play again after 45 minutes from when you finish.
Round 2 Groupings: I will be shuffling people and cards between rounds and posting to PDGA. Divisions will be starting round 1 and round 2 relatively in the same few holes, this should give you a general idea for round two where you should head.
Playoff: If we have a playoff, they will start on hole 1; if we have multiple playoffs, they will start on hole 10.
Payout: Cash payout will be made to the paypal used to register for the event. If different then message me before Monday. Amateur payout will not be script but will be mostly preselected items. I will payout 40-50% of each division. An additional rule with Tinicum is no money transactions of any kind (even electronic) can occur on site.
CTP: After the last card is in after the second round, we will have a CTP contest for free. Each player gets 3 throws. Each throw must be a different type (backhand, forehand, thumber, roller, etc).
Course Notes:
Hole 7: This hole has two baskets; you will be playing to the further basket.
Road: On holes 1,2,3,4 & 9 the park road and across is OB.
Pavilion is OB
Canal: The canal is OB, the canal path is in bounds, the area between is casual relief so mark your lie on the canal path.
Hole 13: Hole 13s basket is in 15B position. The last tree before the field is a mando tree which you must go left of, drop zone is right past it.
