Yes divisions of less than 3 get combined

I am planning to sign up if anyone else is playing MA3.

Question: if I sign my son up for a Junior division, would that also get rolled into another if it has less than 3 people?

i assume i would bump up from MA4 to MA3 if you signed up but this would be my first tournament so i know nothing.
