All players are to check in at least 30 minutes before their tee time at the first hole before warming up or getting your player's pack.
Pro/MA1 play from long tees, all other divisions will play from short tees.
After or before your round you can see the booths and get a bite to eat. We'll even have some cold Michelob Ultra to enjoy off the course. -

Same thing as Saturday with the exception of awards being done 1 hour after last card of each division comes in. During that time check out the booths, mingle and enjoy some more cold Michelob Ultra until it's time to announce the winners.

Republic of Texas DGC Annual B tier event held at the Met Center DGC. 2 days, 1 round each day all benefiting the SAFE Alliance of Austin, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Texas and EDGE. Last year we raised over $2600, our goal this year is $3000.We are hoping to reach and/or exceed this goal.
Defending MPO is Patrick Blazek and Defending FPO is Aria Castruita!!!!
This year's Throwdown Showdown is another "last chance qualifier" for the NADGT finals that will be held the following weekend. Qualifying divisions will be posted at a later time. UPDATE (9/10/23)- Divisions that will qualify for the Last Chance are MA1, FA1, MA2, FA2, MA3, FA3, MA40, FA40, MA50, FA50 and MA60. Must be classified as Amateur. Pro/MA1 will play from longs while remaining divisions will play from shorts. All lady divisions will have a course par of 76.
UPDATE!!- All participating players will be eligible to win a free Zuca cart!!!
ATTENTION!!!- This year's attendance will determine what we plan for next year. We are wanting 150 players this year. All registered players will have a chance to voice what we do next year. Option 1- Add Roy G to the event, making it a 2-day, 2 course tournament. Option 2- Making the Throwdown Showdown a 2-weekend tournament, 1 for Pro and the other for Ams. Either way we want to double the size of the tournament and have 300 players.
What to expect- Two challenging rounds over two days with marked and flagged OB's throughout the course. Booths of sponsors and vendors in the front parking lot to provide fun for everyone. The booth area is open to the public, not just the players.

Added Cash Sponsor- $10 to Pro payout only- Donators will get recognition for supporting the Pro Players.
Tee sign only $50
Full sponsorship $300- logo on tee sign, shirts and banner, recognition on Facebook, during the event and comes with a booth space. Deadline for full sponsorship is September 15,2023.
Booth spaces-
10x10 space- $50 daily, $100 full weekend
10x20 space- $75 daily, $150 full weekend
Entry fee includes-
$70 per player payout in Pro
$50 per player payout in Ams in the form of Disc Nation gift certificates to use in stores or online.
$3 PDGA fee
$10 Acepot entry Pro
$5 Acepot entry Ams
$6 Trophy fee per player
$3 club fee
$20 inconvenience fee if wanting to register after registration closes.
Remaining balance goes to benefiting charities.
