Hello all,
I will be running the night golf event. As mentioned there will be Nite Ize for sale at the fly mart.
I will also be selling packs of 3LEDs/button batteries for $5 and 2 packs of Flights (flat lights) for $8.
For the event we will be playing from the GREEN tees (Shorts). Each basket will have a light ring on them and each tee pad will have glow sticks indicating their location.

If you have any other questions please post below.

perhaps a dumb question but i have a couple of nite-ize discs from a couple years ago. Is the battery easily replaceable? Or is it just easier to buy new ones?

J. Gary Dropcho   March 22, 2019 at 2:59pm

think the batter can be replaced.

Sean Nagle   March 23, 2019 at 12:43am

They can be replaced with button batteries (2016h from the dollar store. Each disc takes two batteries.

NOTE: Camp Kon-O-Kwee will be closed on Friday, March 22 for a wedding party. We will not be permitted to play the course or be on site that day. Plan accordingly.

Are Nite Ize going to be available for those players who don’t have any? Are LED’s and batteries going to be available if not?

Reluctantly, Team Pines (Trevor Murphy, Andrew Burk, Bill Scully, Nanette Ruggles) will have to kindly withdraw from the event at this time. If refunds could be made to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry that it worked out this way, and I wish that you and your team would be playing. I'll process refunds today.

J. Gary Dropcho    February 7, 2019 at 7:57pm

We are 44 days away from the 5th edition of the Throwdown Hoedown Disc Golf Symposium! There are at least three teams on the waitlist for the Throwdown part of the weekend, so if any teams are thinking that they may have to withdraw, please let J. Gary know of your intentions sooner rather than later.

Entry fees would be refunded if the spot is filled from the waitlist. Any peeps on the waitlist that don't get into the tournament will be refunded.

Any chance of the playing field getting expanded like it did the last time or our we just stuck waiting for a team to drop out now?

J. Gary Dropcho   January 21, 2019 at 10:15pm

The field is already expanded to 24-teams. We won't be able to add any more than 6 temp holes to the course and get 48 holes of play done in one day!

J. Gary Dropcho   January 21, 2019 at 10:19pm

I don't know how to predict how much movement there will be from the waitlist, but we are 8 weeks out and things do happen. Entry fees will be refunded if Disc-respectful doesn't get in.

The Throwdown tournament on Saturday is limited to 96 players — 24 teams with 4 player rosters. Ideal teams have a Woman, Master (age40+), Rec, and Open (not necessary to be “pro”).

J. Gary Dropcho   January 11, 2019 at 9:25pm

Less-Than-Ideal teams can register after Jan 17

Eric Jageman   January 11, 2019 at 10:48pm

OK I saw the waitlist and was confused .

Christopher Noble    January 11, 2019 at 5:34pm

Does anyone need a Rec Player for their team? Let me know!

Will do. Who are your woman and open players?

J. Gary Dropcho   January 9, 2019 at 9:02pm

Greg, I assume you want to play the Rec spot on the Dropping Deuces roster?

Gregory easton   January 11, 2019 at 2:59am

Correct

Gregory easton    January 3, 2019 at 4:03am

DO you have to register as a team or can you sign up individually?

Registration for all other teams, including less-than-ideal rosters who will play with a handicap, opens January 17 at 8 pm. Team members can register separately, but must all register under th ... more
