Good evening, TRO competitors and waitlistees,

The 2021 Three Rivers Open presented by BFGoodrich Amateur Weekend is just five (5) days away! The Fort Disc Golf Club, Dave, Courtney , and I are thrilled to host you for the largest TRO yet and are excited for a fun weekend of disc golf. I would like to thank everyone in our local community that helped with planning, course work, or day-of volunteering!

This email will provide detailed information for the tournament. The Caddy Guide is attached. If you have any questions, please feel free to respond to this email, post on Disc Golf Scene, or ask them at the Player’s Meeting or Player-Check-In. (Please do message me on facebook messenger - there is a high likelihood I will miss it before I can see it.)

All cards are required to maintain a second scorecard (UDisc or Paper) to ensure scores are recorded accurately. Secondary UDisc cards are recommended; however, if a paper card is required, they will be available at Tournament Central.

On Saturday evening the player's party will be hosted at Summit City Brewerks (back patio). Please come out and enjoy one of Fort Wayne's best breweries. Please carpool and use ride sharing as much as possible!

There is extremely limited parking at East Swinney. Please park at West Swinney and walk to East Swinney. (See figure below).

Awards | Payouts
Payouts will be in accordance with the PDGA’s competition manual section 1.10. (Top 45% of each field).
Payouts will be in the form of “funny money” to the FDGC Disc Stock and should be used immediately.
Awards and payouts will be distributed immediately following each divisions’ round.
CTP prizes will be awarded Sunday morning at Check-In.
The Ace Pool shall be distributed via Paypal on Monday August 23, 2021.
The top MA1 and FA1 scores will receive a free entry to the professional weekend.

Flooding / Rainfall Plan
The FDGC has worked hard to get Swinney in shape and ready for the 2021 Three Rivers Open Presented by BFGoodrich.

If you are unaware, the Swinney courses are extremely prone to flooding and the rivers can rise within hours. We HOPE that mother nature is on our side this week but the forecast does not look good. Scattered showers are projected for the five (days) prior to the TRO.

IF we get rain for five (5) days AND the river is not up, approximately 10 of the 36 tees / holes can become hazardous and dangerous for competition.

Throughout the week we will be keeping a keen eye on the forecast as well as conditions at the course. We will look to make a final decision by the virtual player’s meeting Thursday night; however, we may need to make a call on Friday. As soon as we know, an email will be distributed, and posts will go up on Disc Golf Scene and the Fort Disc Golf Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/fortdiscgolfclub). Do some anti-rain dances this week!

Backup Plan
IF it is determined Swinney is unplayable, all competitors will play 1-round on Saturday at Tillman Park and tee-times will be utilized. Therefore, the tournament will be 2 rounds at Tillman Park (1 Round on Saturday / 1 Round on Sunday)

Good afternoon, TRO competitors and waitlistees,

We are exactly 1-month out from the 2021 Three Rivers Open presented by BFGoodrich Amateur weekend, which will be held August 21 - 22, 2021. First and foremost, thank you for playing in the TRO. The Fort Disc Golf Club is getting the courses whipped into shape, wrapping up sponsorship efforts, and gearing up for the largest TRO yet!

This email will provide some general information about the tournament and the Fort Wayne area. Approximately 1-week prior to the tournament a player’s email will be distributed with the Caddy Book and detailed tournament information. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out via email or by commenting on the Disc Golf Scene page.

If you are unable to play in the tournament, please let me know ASAP. We will get you a refund processed and pull someone in from the waitlist (see refund policy below). On Friday July 30, 2021, I will open up the remaining FA spots to MA spots based on pool assignments.

Good morning, TRO competitors and waitlisters,

The tentative layouts have been set for the 2021 Three Rivers Open Presented by BFGoodrich as well as anticipated tee time structure.

As you will see there is a mix of blues, reds, and white tees for each division. These layouts are similar to years past with the goal of reducing backups while still creating a challenging, competitive layout for each division.

Once I return from the USADGC - I will generate some figures for the layouts so that you can save them to your phone’s camera roll. Also, we will at getting these put into the UDISC app.

Flooding at the Swinney courses is beginning to subside, and Tillman is starting to thicken up. Over the next several months the FDGC is dedicated to getting the courses in tip top shape for TRO36. If you are an FDGC member, please consider donating 1-2 hours trimming or clearing up a hole. It goes a long way!!

If you are coming to practice for the TRO, we plan to move baskets to the tournament locations the weekend of July 31st.

Good morning TRO36 Competitors and waitlisted folks.

I added four (4) MA spots from the FA field. The other thee (3) spots will remain in the FA field until July 31st and then I will move them over.

We are essentially in a numbers game to ensure that we can have 4somes without ghost groups can be achieved.

If you are on the Waitlist, don't fret - there is still a chance you can get in. With the country opening back up - I anticipate people's schedules will change and people will drop out of the tournament. Also, in years past historically fifteen to twenty people have dropped from the tournament..
