Gunks DGC Presents the Shongum Showdown II: Ridge Redemption
We have been looking forward to this moment for a long time. It has been nearly 6 years since we started the process of getting the course in the ground, and this will be our first sold out tournament! Thank you all for making that happen! As of now it’s amazing we can make this happen. With the way virus numbers have been increasing this is possibly the last tournament before another shutdown so It’s very important that we take extra precautions this year. We feel very strongly that if this tournament could not be held safely, we would not be attempting to hold it. This is all up to you, the player, to keep yourself and those around you safe and abide by the ground rules we are establishing here. Please show the Gardiner community, and the disc golf community that we are responsible and respectful of these rules. We have witnessed the success of other tournaments this year, and believe the DG community has done an excellent job of keeping each other safe. Abiding by the guidelines of the state, and the PDGA is of the utmost importance. This is not a gathering. It’s the ability to play competitive Disc Golf during a pandemic. You must abide by social distancing and mask wearing protocols at all times.
