The Polar Open at Bill Allen

An annual tradition returns to The Colony!

This is a 2 round disc golf tournament at Bill Allen Disc Golf Course. This is a B-Tier which requires a current PDGA membership. Pro players will compete for a minimum of $750 added cash.


Player Pack & Discs
This year's am player pack will finally include the long awaited event custom beanie! The design is being finalized and production is set to begin next week. The first 60 amateur players will get said beanie for registering! Any additional am players will get a dri fit Disc Golf Dojo shirt.

Player packs will also include an event pin, stickers, a mini and more.

There will not be discs included in players packs this year in order to keep the entry fee low and add to the payout for the event. We will have discs with last year's stamp available for purchase for $15 with registration and at the course.

Player Check In Starts at 7:45am
Player Meeting - 8:30am
Round 1 Tee Time - 9am

There will be an hour lunch break starting from the time that the last group finishes their first round. The official round 2 start time will be published to the PDGA Digital Scorecard, PDGA Event Page, and our Event Facebook Page.

Awards and payout will follow round 2.


Sponsorship & Raffle
We will hold a raffle to help raise money for the event. Big ticket prizes will include an MVP Practice Basket, MVP Voyager Lite Bag, MVP Eclipse Detour, and more TBA on our event Facebook page! (Linked Below) Raffle tickets can be purchased with entry or at the course.

We are looking for more prizes to add to a budding raffle. If you would like to donate anything please let us know. Michael Empey will be able to collect donations at the Bill Allen Monday Mini.

Event Fees include PDGA sanctioning, insurance, and per player fees, park reservation fees, event supplies such as paint, stakes, signage, etc., and trophies.


Awards and Payout
Trophies will be awarded to the 1st place finisher in divisions with 3 or more players.

Pro divisions will pay out the top 40%. Payment will be sent digitally on Monday, January 20th.

Players who finish in the top 45% of am divisions will be awarded merchandise credit to the on-site Disc Golf Dojo proshop. Payout can be used once all players have finished round 2 and will be published to the PDGA digital scorecard as well as the event's Disc Golf Scene page. Am payout expires 2 years from the day that it was earned. Payout for this event will expire on January 18th, 2027.

Trophy ONLY Divisions include MA3, FA3, MA4, FA4, and Junior divisions. These divisions have a lower entry fees, are meant for less experienced players and will not be awarded any payout. Trophies will be awarded to the first place finishers in these divisions ONLY if they have 3 or more players.


Division Disclaimer
Divisions are required to have at least 4 players to compete. If a division does not have 4 players then players will be asked to move to a different division. Exceptions will be made in the case of amateur women and junior players. There will be no exceptions for pro divisions.
