Let me first say thank you so much for signing up for this fundraiser event! It's going to be a blast!
Everyone should have their 'Tee Times’, but before your round please stop by the tent to check-in and to receive instructions for the round. At that point if you have a pre-set card you are able to start your round. If you do not have a card then we'll build one for you. Cards must be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4. We are using paper score cards, so only one person needs to keep score, but each player will need to confirm their score at the end of the round.
This is not a PDGA sanctioned event, though all PDGA rules apply. Be sure to check out the rules or get a refresher at pdga.com or you can download the digital rulebook app.
A few last minute additions have been made:
1. To encourage safe play, OB's have been set up and are outlined below. There will also be a sign at hole 1 with the course breakdown. All OB's will be played one meter in from where the disc was last in bounds with a penalty stroke. (Also, no two meter rule)
2. There are stakes! We are offering two division options: Recreational or Advanced. Winner of each will receive a disc, runner ups get a Flight Towel, and third gets raffle tickets. BUT! Best score, no matter the division, gets a $50 cash prize courtesy of Divide Feed!
3. An ace pot will also be available. Should these baskets reject everyone's attempts, the money will be pushed to replacing them. So, win-win.
4. Because we have some open time slots, the opportunity to play again is available. If you would like to re-throw your round and take the best of the two (or more) scores, we are asking $10 for each additional scored round. Or you can play through again for free, we just ask that you let us know so we can ensure there will be no conflict with other tee times.
5. We’ll be playing CTP on holes 2, 5, 6, and 7 - winners will get a raffle entry.
Lastly, it's going to be hot! We will have a water station available, but we encourage you to bring your own vessel/s. Also, bring cash for raffle tickets, Berg Competition (if you haven’t signed up on Disc Golf Scene and want to participate), and ace pot - we’ll be accepting payments via Venmo or PayPal as well.
Thank you all again and we'll see you tomorrow! Don’t forget to bring discs to swap!
- J.J. & Lara
