Thanks to the 24 hearty souls who came out and braved the snow in support of the Food Bank. $200 was raised for the Akron-Canton FoodBank and an additional 60 pounds of food was gathered. The snow and mulligans skewed the scores but the winners were Greg Platt (Open), Mitch G (Advanced), Shaun Hoversen (Intermediate), Sam Crawford (Rec) and Tammy S (Women). A special thanks to Don C for donating his winnings back to the Food Bank.

The park has plowed the roads and whoever shows up plays... we may need to adjust the format a little. Last year it was 60 d. This year we should change the name to The Frozen Turkey.

I am planning on being there, maybe I'll try to get a friend or two in on it to help the turnout. I have a feeling though that if level of experience is in any way = to level of commitment...I'll be the only person in Rec

I plan to be there with my brother. I just hope the weather isn't atrocious!!!

I know we dont have to pre-register but I hope there is a good turnout. I am kind of worried about giving up my time with family and friends and only 5 people show up. Havent seen any chatter about this event. Sounds like a lot of fun and for a good cause so hope its a good turnout!

If I had someone who wanted to play but would't be able to make it till 2:30ish is that ok?
Bill Griffith November 14, 2013 at 4:10am
This is a local club event. No pre-registration required. You can win a little money and contribute to a good cause.

Is this a show up, pay, and play or a preregistered event?
