If you are coming to Spring Villa for a practice round or the tournament be aware that the bridge just west of the park is “officially” closed. (I heard that some people with high clearance vehicles have been crossing it.) To get to the park you have to go the “back way” to get in. GPS is not always aware that the bridge is out or sometimes it thinks the whole road is closed and tells you that you can’t get there at all. As I’m typing this both Apple Maps and Google Maps are correct but in the past they have been wrong.
Here are directions to get to the park. Off of I85 take exit 60. Turn left. Take the first left after the Raceway gas station on Old Columbus Road. You will cross two railroad tracks, the second is very rough, take it slow. At the 4 way stop continue straight. At Union Grove Baptist Church take a right on cr151. At the stop sign take a right on cr148(there is a sign that says the bridge is closed in 1.2 miles but the park is on the right in 1 mile so ignore the sign. Good luck.
If you are GPS dependent put in Union Grove Baptist Church Opelika Al. Make sure you put Opelika, apparently there are several Union Grove Baptist churches. When you get to the church take the county road next to the church, it might be a right or a left depending on the direction from which you are coming. At the stop sign take a right. The park is in 1 mile on the right.
