Below are the emails I've sent to all the registered players this week with updates. Some may check this more often than they check their emails. In efforts to keep everyone informed, here it is again
Good morning.
A couple of updates I want to make everyone aware of
1. PRACTICE ROUND TODAY.
A lot of rain has fallen in the last 24 hours and will continue to fall throughout the day. The course will be open for practice, as promised, this afternoon from 12-6. However, to try and have the best teeing surface we can for the competitive round tomorrow, the tee pads will be adjusted minimally for the practice round. It's not ideal, but with the nature of this being a temporary course with natural teepads, we don't want all the tee pads to be mud holes for the tournament. I wanted to make everyone aware in case this impacts your decision to come out and practice today.
2. ACE POT,
It was brought to my attention that I forgot to add an ace pot to the registration. If you want to participate in an ace pot, there will be a $2, cash ace pot available at check-in. If no one hits it, there will be a ctp throw off at the end of the tournament. Winner takes all.
3. Water on the course
This course is a hike and we want everyone to stay hydrated. We will have 5 gallon water jugs on the course, 1 stationed between holes 18 and 1, and another in the water cooler stand by hole 10.
Thanks for your time and looking forward seeing you tomorrow
-Danny
PS. In case you need my previous emails, I'm copying them below.
Good afternoon,
We are just a couple days away and we've had some updates since the last email I want to make everyone aware of.
1. Shawn Groton with Nashville Disc Golf Store is graciously sponsoring Hole 1. He is also playing this event, so if you see him out there, give him a thank you.
2. CTPS! We will have 6 CTP for amateur divisions. It is for both rounds, so you will have 2 shots at your CTP hole. Here's the breakdown,
FA1 and FA2- Hole 11
MA40, MA50, MA60 - Hole 14
MA1- Hole 5
MA2- Hole 7
MA3- Hole 4
MA4- Hole 3
3.) Message for A-pool (MPO/MA1)- Hole 11 (Par 5 up the hill through the woods), We added a mando at the top of the hill by the short tee. It is not mentioned on the tee sign, but is on the pdga live scoring.
If you received and read my first email earlier this week, you can stop reading. If you didn't, keep reading.
Greetings!
