Tournament staff is closely watching the weather. Nothing we see prevents us from starting as planned tomorrow morning and getting in the full morning round. Saturday afternoon is iffy. The track and timing of the coming storm is just not known. We could have just rain. We could have heavy rain and wind. If just rain we will play.
During the lunch break Saturday, if is determined that extreme or severe weather is coming for the afternoon we will possibly suspend play and resume play on Sunday. The Sunday schedule would remain as is. If that is done we would simply have a shorten event. Only 36 holes are required for a B tier event. Pool A would end up playing 45 holes (18 at Pipeline and 27 at Holston). Pool B would end up playing 36 holes (18 at Tyger and 18 at Shoally). Again the decision to play the 2nd round or not will not be made until lunch tomorrow. We are just sharing the potential plan B with you so you understand we put player safety above all else.
Thank you for your patience in advance with us as we balance getting the event in and the weather.
Thank you,
Daniel
