Hey Disc Golfers!
Thank you all again for choosing to compete for the DTG Cup tomorrow!
I have updated the course rules in your Official Caddie Book with better verbiage for clarity and copied them below. They will appear correct in the caddie book and on the PDGA Digital Scorecard.
I have reopened registration in hopes of allowing more players to register before we start. It will close again at 8am tomorrow so tell your friends to get signed up if they would like to play. Starting hole assignments will be published in the morning and can be found on the PDGA page for the event as well as your digital scorecard.
Check in will begin around 7:45am. Each of you, EVEN PROS, will get a disc and pin from years past at check in. If you purchased a player pack item with registration, thank you! You will have an additional $20 credit to spend at the Dojo which can be used on DTG stamped discs as well as anything in the shop.
PLEASE PLAN TO BE AT THE 9AM PLAYERS MEETING!
See you all tomorrow!
General Course OB Notes
Tall Grass OB refers to the mow line. The leaves do not define the tall grass line. In many places tall grass may be supplemented by a painted line. If there is a painted line then the line defines the OB area.
1- Island Hole. There is a painted line that marks all sides of the island. The cart path is the backside of the island and is defined by the painted line. Players will mark their lie from the last place that the disc was in bounds. If the disc never crosses in bounds then proceed to the drop zone.
2 - Right of the tall grass line is out-of-bounds. On or beyond the cart path is out-of-bounds.
3 - Mandatory left of the marked tree. The drop zone is right next to the mando tree. On or beyond the path is out-of-bounds.
4 - Must land on the basket side of the cart path. On the path or on the teepad side of the path is out-of-bounds. It is a retee if you never cross the path.
5 - NO OB
6 - Left of the tall grass line is out-of-bounds. On or right of the path is out-of-bounds.
7 - The top of the creek line is out-of-bounds on the left side of the fairway. It is marked with a string and a painted line. On or beyond the path on the right side of the fairway is out-of-bounds. Any tee shots that land OB may proceed to the short tee as a drop zone.
8 - Left of the tall grass line is OB. On or right of the cart path is out-of-bounds.
9 - NO OB
10 - NO OB
11 - Tall grass is the out-of-bounds line on the left side of the fairway. On or right of the cart path is out-of-bounds. Any OB tee shot may advance to the short tee as a drop zone.
12 - On or right of the sidewalk until the fence. Then the painted line below the fence becomes the OB line. Beyond the tall grass line on the left is OB. The tall grass in fairway short of the basket is casual. Players may take relief from that area if needed. No OB when playing to the BLUE basket!!! Disregard any painted lines when playing to the BLUE pin.
13 - Tall grass on the left is OB. The cart path is not OB on this hole.
14 - There is a painted line around the tall grass on the left of the fairway. On or beyond the path on the right side of the fairway is out-of-bounds. The tall grass on the downslope right of the fairway is not OB.
15 - The road and beyond is the only OB.
16 - On or left of the cart path is out-of-bounds. All roads and beyond are OB.
17 - Roads and Beyond are OB.
18 - This hole plays as an island. If you do not make it on the island with your first shot then you go to the drop zone with a stroke penalty. The drop zone is on the right side of the island. Player may stand behind the bricks to throw their lie. Any additional OB shot will play from the last place the disc was in bounds. A disc leaning against the outside of the bricks does not count as making it on the island.
