Hello! We are excited that The Clean up and Flop Out is just a few days away! This is an update for everyone. I’ll post it up in the group messages on Disc Golf Scene as well.
1st: We will be closing down MA3 and moving those signed up there to MA2, due to low numbers in that category.
Schedule:
We recommend everyone shows up around 12:00 to 12:30. Our friend and local cook Stacy will be running the snack bar at white pines ball field next to the course. You pass right by it on the way to hole 1 and can’t miss it. Everyone playing gets a complimentary lunch and we have disc mini-games set up and room to practice. Hyzer Flop will also have our mobile store out there! Everyone signing up gets $15 store credit and can choose from the variety of discs we have!
The round will start at 2. Originally the players meeting was set at 1. That has been changed and we will meet at 1:30. The round will be a shotgun start. With 25 people signed up as of now we will likely have 6 cards playing on the course. The course is open on Saturday but foot traffic hasn’t been bad and we should be fine spreading out.
We are extending the signup period to Friday. Please spread the word! The more people that come out the better!
There is also a course cleanup at 9am. Some of us will be out there to work on the tee pads for holes 9 and 15. As well as cleaning up trash, raking parts of the course, and just general tidying up. If you would like to come volunteer please come on out!
Things to note:
We want everyone coming out to have a blast and get some good competition. White Pines is a challenging course and one of our personal favorites here in California. That being said this is a casual round. We will use paper cards to keep score. Winners will be announced after the round.
If you have friends or family please invite them to come out! We will have things for them to do and white pines lake is a great place to kick back and relax for the day. If people want to bring drinks and chairs we encourage it! We will also have drinks for purchase there and the proceeds are going to White Pines DGC! (Some may want to save that for after the round.)
