Hey everyone! Excited for the tournament, I just attached photos of the temp holes that will be added. The temp holes will be added the morning of, so I apologize to anyone who wanted to get some practice on them. See everyone Saturday!

Will the short layout still have 11,13, and 18 be par 4s and will it still be par 57?

Nate East   April 2 at 2:45pm

Correct, those holes will be par 4s from the shorts and yes par 57.

What is the added cash amount to the pro purse? You mentioned 85% of pro buyin goes to the purse, you listed $4 of fees, so where is the other $4 (~7%) going?

I think Derek is confused since no other Michigan TD’s keep 15% of the pro entry fees, on top of the $2 PDGA Fees , green fees , and the $2 optional TD fee, I think posting how much goes to payouts would be a good idea so pro’s don’t get upset if your going to keep 15% of their entry fee, and if I understand correct that would be $39 after deducting $11 out of the $50

What does "100% of added cash goes to pro purse" mean if there's a 15% rake and no added cash...

Nate East   April 2 at 12:12am

My apologies, I just realized I forgot to remove "100% of added cash goes to Pro Purse". That might be where the confusion is. I include the fees withing that 15%.

Hello nate, do you have a tentative map for the course layout? Seems like it's gonna be tough to practice the course throughout the week.

Hey Alex! I’m going out there today to solidify the temp holes today. We’ll be utilizing the putter course baskets. I’ll post a map by the end of the day Monday.

Hey quick question, I know there is a rule about no stickers on discs. I have these circular stickers on all my discs that has my name and phone number, are those allowed or do we have to take all of them off.

I believe you answered your own question. For sanctioned play, stickers are not allowed.

Hello everyone,

The event is back on, I opened registration. We will be putting in temporary holes to make up for the holes they took out. I will be coming out with the specifics of the temporary holes soon.

Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for the update Nate, looking forward to the event! Do you know when the temp holes will be set up? (will they be set up in time for practice over the next few weekends?)

Nate East   March 26 at 3:39pm

Hey Andrew! It will likely be closer to the event that the holes will be set up.

Nate East    February 15, 2024 at 4:50pm

Hey everyone,

I wanted to give an update on the event coming up April 6th at Palmer Park. I just got word that they have a construction project planned that will affect the course. I have decided to pause registration until I know exactly the scope of the project. We have alternative solutions like changing pin locations and making temp holes. I will keep everyone updated.

Did more research. Looks like bandshell is going behind the police station according to the Sita plan. Effecting holes 6,7 and possibly 8. https://www.peopleforpalmerpark.org/latest-news/bandshells-new-home-will-be-palmer-park

Yep. Silt fencing is already up surrounding holes 6 and 7
