From our friends at NEFA...
If you're not yet current this year or not yet a member, make sure to be current by tournament start to receive points! The point series isn't the only reason to join though. NEFA grants have been beneficial to many northeast courses and will continue to be in the future.

"The hits keep on coming as the commencement of the 21st Annual FDR Fools Fest joins the NEFA point series and kicks off Weekend 1, building on its rich history that began in 2004. Originally conceived as a modest single-day C Tier event, it was the visionary initiative of tournament director Silvio Sanchez in 2017 that transformed this gathering into a two-day spectacle, with distinct days dedicated to amateurs and professionals alike. For many, FDR Fools Fest holds sentimental significance, serving as the inaugural tournament experience for numerous enthusiasts. Among them stands the current tournament director, whose journey from participant to stewardship reflects the event's enduring legacy.
The challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, organizers made bold decisions, rescheduling the 2020 edition to the fall and expanding it to three days in 2021 to accommodate burgeoning demand. This expansion, coupled with a dedicated weekend for professional divisions, solidified FDR Fools Fest as a premier destination for top-tier talent. With each passing year, the tournament's reputation as one of WeDGE - Westchester Disc Golf Enthusiasts longest running events and a regional cornerstone continues to flourish. This regional favorite has only grown, drawing players from states including NY, NJ, CT, MA, ME, NH, DE, RI, and VT. As preparations unfold for the 2024 edition, whispers of forthcoming changes reverberate throughout the community. Plans to integrate the FPO division into Pro Sunday signal a commitment to inclusivity and expansion, ensuring that the tournament remains accessible to all who seek to test their mettle on the course. As the first weekend of festivities approaches, the anticipation mounts. From seasoned veterans to eager newcomers, all are invited to partake in the magic of FDR Fools Fest. With players like Steve Brinster, the 9x Champion, and the 2x champions of this event Bill Dunne and Bobby Cowpenthrait, all eyes will be looking to see who joins the list. Will NEFA members Wadsworth Moriarty(2022) and Dylan Capaccioli (2023) join the illustrious group of multiple champions or will there a new member joining the Champions ranks and heading home with the FDR Fools Fest crown!"
