2024 Arkansas Open Presented by North Little Rock Tourism and Innova Champion Discs
Please read everything here. This has information about ALL the courses and festivities for the weekend.
Saturday:
7am – 8:30 AM -- Check in Time – Please make sure you check in with James (In the clubhouse at Stone Links) or Chris (Bill Trousdale Pavilion at Burns Park). Ams will get their players pack from Chris and James will probably just give the pros a high five.
8:45 – Players Meeting – we will thank our sponsors, the people that helped get everything ready, go over OB’s, and answer any and all questions you may have about layout, lunch, etc.
9:15 – Tee Off at both courses
Lunch – Will be directly after the 1st rd and is provided by Whole Hog Café! We will have some BBQ and sides available at Stone Links after the 1st round is over. If you are playing at Burns Park, then come on over to Stone Links. If you are playing at Stone Links then please come eat and head to Burns Park. We will have bottled water available for your drinks.
2nd round Tee Time – We will send you an email, just like this one and will post on Disc Golf Scene the tee time for round 2. Please pay attention to that email as Burns Park golfers may not be teeing off at the same time as Stone Links golfers.
Saturday Night—Players Party
Brewskis Pub and Grill – 6pm -- whenever

Sunday:
Mandatory check in between 8am – 8:30am
This must happen, we need to make sure cards are correct. Maybe someone had too many at Brewskis and doesn’t show up? Maybe they just slept in? We need to know so that we have the cards correctly done before teeing off.
If you are going to DNF, please let us know.
Final Rd – 9am tee off
THERE WILL BE NO AWARDS CEREMONY.
If you cashed, then please come to Stone Links and receive your payout.
Am Payout will be done through 13 Peakes Trading. They will be on site at Stone Links all weekend! If you lose a disc and need a new one, then go chat with John and/or Jimmy and they can get you hooked up. Thank you, 13 Peakes Trading, for being there for us every year!!
In the event you are unable to go to Stone Links for the payout, don’t worry we have you covered! 13 will keep your name on file and you can come any time until December 31st for your payout. If unable to get payout done by then, then please reach out to John or Jimmy and they can probably extend your deadline.

Pro Payout will be done in cold hard cash! If you don’t have time to hang around and do the cash grab, then no worries, just reach out to James and make sure he has your PayPal information, and he’ll get it to you by Tuesday 8am.
If the ACEPOT is not hit it will be going to The North Little Rock Animal Shelter.

Layouts and OB’s
Stone Links All Divisions All Layouts:
You have 3 minutes to find a lost disc. Below is the link for that rule.

Everyone watches everyone’s shot! This must happen to save time. We will have spotters on some key holes, but not on every hole. It is NOT the spotters’ job to grab your disc. IT IS their job to point you in the right direction. If you ask a spotter where you crossed OB, they will tell you what they think. In the end, it is up to you and your card mates on where the disc crossed, NOT the spotters.
Almost every hole has spray paint on it. Usually around the borders of the hole (left, right, pond areas, behind baskets, and even around some of the briars in the middle of the fairway.
Please read the description of the hole on the PDGA app that states the OB’s.
If you land in one of the spray-painted briar patches around the course you may be out of bounds. Just check and see if it is painted. If I (James) thought it was impossible to get in there and/or throw out of, I painted it. So pay attention to the spots that are not bordering the hole just as much as said borders.
If there is a question on whether a shot is OB, then throw a provisional shot, play it both ways, and then come chat with the TD after the round.
Burns Park All Divisions
The Big Creek throughout the course is flagged. Please look at the PDGA App to see what that means.
In or over The Big Creek on holes 4, 16, and 17 is out of bounds
Only IN The Big Creek on Holes 5 and 18 are out of bounds
There is also a gap in the fence (Holes 5, 6, and 7). Those gaps have been spray painted for OB.
If your disc lands in the street, then you will use the white line on the street as the OB line.
Some of the baskets out there are bagged. Those baskets are not in play. Throw at the other one.
All other OB’s are listed on the PDGA App, so read carefully and make sure you have an understanding of said OB’s.
There is not much spray paint on this course so it should be easily navigated. If there is a question on whether a shot is OB, then please throw a provisional shot, play it both ways, and then come chat with the TD.
MPO/MP40**

Other divisions on the course are throwing to the shorter red baskets the entire round. For you, these are officially metal bushes. Below are the only red baskets MPO and MP40 will throw to.

Hole 16 – Blue Basket that is tucked in the opening of the trees across from the pond
Rd 2 – Burns Park Long Tees – Long Baskets – Hybrid Layout
Hole 11 tee off from the Middle tee – white flags around the tee sign

In the event of a playoff, we will go to sudden death starting on Hole 1 at the course you just played. You must check in with the TD prior to beginning the playoff.
