So are we still throwing the woods course? Been sub freezing temperatures all week

It's been moved to Murdock

Stephen Preischel   February 2, 2023 at 5:07pm

Yeah, it'll be at Murdock. You should've gotten an email. I took a walk around Woods yesterday and even at 28° it was mostly mud. 84 players in 35° weather would be a nightmare.

Will the temp holes be placed and ready for practice this friday? Im coming up from terre haute to practice for this weekend

I will probably not have actual temp baskets in place prior to Saturday for fear of them walking away. But there are flags out marking teepad and basket locations already. If you look in the "Pictures" section of the registration page there are tee signs with distances and hole maps.

Flags are out marking the temp holes at Murdock.

The "Pictures" section has the temp layout and tee signs.

If there is a move to Murdock, will there be the 4 extra temp holes like last year?

Stephen Preischel   January 28, 2023 at 4:00pm

Yes there will! The holes will be the same or very close.

Josh 'ECTO' Echterling   January 28, 2023 at 7:18pm

They should go the opposite in some way.

Stephen Preischel   January 29, 2023 at 1:23pm

I don't know what you mean.

Is there no MA4 division?

Stephen Preischel   January 23, 2023 at 9:45pm

No MA4 in this event. It's a charity fundraiser so we limit the number of divisions in order to keep the donation to Foodfinders as large as possible. Fewer trophies means more meals.

Kenny Redman    January 15, 2023 at 1:18am

I registered for MA50 just because I can now, and I think that’s hilarious. Feel free to move me wherever closer to the tournament.

If I get to play in the tournament (not sure yet) I will join you in ma50

Stephen Preischel   January 24, 2023 at 3:26am

You've got plenty of company now, Kenny!

Kenny Redman   February 4, 2023 at 2:20am

I know, right? I was hoping for a default win ;)

Zero trophies is even better for food

Stephen Preischel   January 10, 2023 at 1:51pm

Trophy discs are about the only thing we put money toward tournament-wise. There's a delicate balance between keeping the tournament feel for the players (which means more players come) and spending as little as possible (to take as little out of the pool as we can). We do pretty well, I think.

Stephen we do a $2 trophy and players love them.
