just register for MA40 and if there is enough to form a division we will do so. otherwise, divisions become small and unmanageable.

Do we need our PDGA renewed prior to registration or just prior to tournament?

Prior to the event should work. If you get charged the $10 non-member during registration and can verify before the event you are current, a refund for that portion will be issued.

Also, based on previous year's history, we have decided to go with the following division caps this year:

Professional -- 28 total players
16 MPO
4 FPO
8 MP40

Amateurs -- 44 total playaers
No division caps, but with these offered divisions:
MA1
MA40
MA50
MA2
MA3
MA4
FA1
FA2

Last year the division was listed as MP40. It was mixed between 40-59 and 50-59 year olds and that's how the division will be listed this year.

I'm 61. I can't justify playing with 40 year olds. I would love to play Puns. I'm surprised you can't get more pros.

The majority of players in MP40 are 50+. It's just how we have the division listed to open it up for all "masters" open players. With a field of 72 we need to ensure that there adequate spots for Am players as well. That's why divisions were capped.

The division can be added at the TDs discretion. But there will be a minimum of 3 needed to form that division come the day of the event.
