2017 Oderus Open OB Sheet

Hole 1: Pine Lake (surrounded by water)
Hole 2 Short Pin (Round 1): Pine Lake (Yellow Rope area near pin) (see special conditions)
Hole 2 Long Pin (Round 2): Pine Lake (Yellow Rope area near short pin), bridge, and area outside wood planks on island (see special conditions)
Hole 3: Pine Lake (Yellow Rope area along lake) (see special conditions for Platform Tee)
Hole 4: Yellow Rope areas on left of fairway and right of green, and roped areas around creek area (see special conditions)
Hole 5: Yellow Rope areas on right of fairway (generally only comes into play from Blue or White tee)
Hole 6: Pine Lake (Yellow Rope areas along lake)
Hole 7: None
Hole 8: Pine Lake (surrounded by water)
Hole 9 Short Pin (Round 1): Yellow Rope area on right of fairway and Yellow Rope area by chasm
Hole 9 Long Pin (Round 2): Yellow Rope area on right of fairway and Yellow Rope area by chasm
Hole 10: None
Hole 11: Yellow Rope area near creek on left of fairway and past pin

Hole 15: Pine Lake (Yellow Rope areas along lake)
Hole 16: Yellow Rope area near alternate pin (generally only comes into play from Blue or White tee)

Hole 18: None

All Yellow Ropes will be designated as OB lines where applicable. Unless mentioned in Special Conditions, next shots will be taken
where the shot goes OB with a 1 stroke penalty.

Special Conditions:
Hole 2 Short Pin: If a player attempts a drive over Pine Lake to the short pin and does not land in bounds, they must re-tee with a
one stroke penalty until the drive lands safely in bounds.

Hole 2 Long Pin: If the shot to the island does not come to rest in bounds (within the wood planks on the island),
a rethrow is necessary (with a penalty stroke). After two attempts, players will automatically go to
the Drop Zone on the Platform, taking one penalty stroke per throw in addition to their two strokes
used for attempts to make the island. If a player attempts a drive from the Red Tee to the island pin,
they must land in bounds on the island or re-tee with a one stroke penalty.

Hole 3 Platform Tee: If the shot off the tee does not come to rest in bounds, the player will go go the Blue Tee
with a one stroke penalty (shooting 3).

Hole 4: For drives coming to rest OB after crossing the Red Rope, play the next shot from the drop zone with a penalty stroke.
Drives coming to rest OB without crossing the Red Rope, play the next shot from the point where the disc went OB with a penalty
stroke. All other shots (after drive) going OB, play the next shot from the point where the disc went OB with a penalty stroke.

A big THANK YOU needs to go out to Borderline Discs who has been nice enough to donate CTP prizes for each division that will be in play for Round 1. Below are the holes used for each division:

Open Men: Hole 5
Open Women: Hole 9
Advanced: Hole 16
Intermediate: Hole 12
Recreational: Hole 17
Novice: Hole 10

There will also be Round Winner custom stamped prize discs for all cards during Round 1, donated by Gateway Discs. These will go to the lowest score on each card, with birdies used as a tie breaker, and least bogeys if that doesn't decide it.

For round 2, there will be additional CTPs for each set of tees. Below are the holes for these prizes:

Open and Advanced Divisions: Hole 4 (from Blue Tee)
Intermediate and Recreational Divisions: Hole 14 (from White Tee)
Novice Division: Hole 11 (from Red Tee)

Also, there will be a $2 Ace Fund. If no aces are hit, 1/2 will go to the Friends of Punderson, and the other 1/2 will go to a CTP winner to be done after the event.

Just a reminder that Tournament Central will be at the Sports Chalet. If you are unfamiliar with the park, there should be signage up. Just in case, follow these directions: instead of making the first right off the main entrance off Rt. 87 into the Disc Golf Course area, follow the main drive and take the first left. The Chalet parking lot is at the end of the drive. It is the building near the tennis courts. See you all Sunday!

I have been able to secure additional Player Packs with the custom stamp from Gateway. But I will not get them until next week. For those who miss out on the custom pack, I will provide them with a voucher and get the pack to them when they arrive. We are now at 50 registered for the Amateur Division. Pending any now shows, all player packs are claimed. If you have pre-paid, you are guaranteed your player pack from the 50 available for Sunday.

Event Custom Stamped player packs for this event are limited to the first 50 amateurs signed up. This includes a custom stamped Gateway Discs Putter (Wizard, Voodoo, and Magic) and custom stamped mini. In the case that there is more than 50 signed up for the amateur divisions, those who prepay will be guaranteed the custom player packs. After that they will be first come first served the day of the event. Anybody after the first 50 will get a putter and mini, but they will not be the custom stamped items.
