I will add 3 more pictures. We typically don't have a lot of events that play holes with hazard areas. Essentially the easiest way to explain it is that the player needs to land in the area of play/in bounds. If a player doesn't land in that area they are in the hazard, and play their disc where it lies with a one stroke penalty. Every shot in the hazard is a penalty stroke. I don't want to go overboard with this, because when you get to Heritage, as the attached pictures show, it isn't going to be an issue for most everyone. The path is not in play, and is the hazard as well.

For hole 4, the disc off the drive needs to land over the path/bridge, and inside the path that loops around the right side of the basket. It's about 175 foot carry slightly downhill.

For hole 13, you only have to throw it 40-50 feed but must land inside the paths where the basket is located. Anything short of left of this is in the hazard.

For hole 18, the disc needs to go over the path where the yellow/white poles are. They are not mandos. It is about a 180 foot carry.

Good morning.

Kyle and I are super excited about the this event, and I guess so is Cheryl as she is sitting out the longer layout. Some people say that Heritage is just too easy, so maybe this layout will provide a little more challenge. This event will be on Sunday, March 9th. This will be a 2 round PDGA C-tier that will shotgun start at 930a. This layout should take 2 hours or less to play.

The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or comments before the event. If you have any questions or issues in regards to the tournament, please text/call Cheryl at 513-348-6140. She'll be the TD for this event.

We are playing 18 holes at Heritage, although there are just a handful that are the original holes. I have provided a map to help with guidance. I will be out there today to mark even better the course. It should be a fun and challenging day for everyone.

All course particulars are in PDGA live. The main OB is on/over the paved walking trails that weave around the course.

The only 3 holes that have something in them besides on/over paths are the following holes:
Hole 2 - You tee off from a temp tee. Hole 2 tee sign is a MANDO Left. You will see this straight ahead by the beginning of the bamboo forest on the hole. It is just to the left of Hole 1 basket. If you do not go left, you go to the original #2 tee pad as the drop zone with a stroke penalty.
Hole 7 - You tee off from a temp tee (#5's regular tee pad). Hole 7 tee sign is a MANDO right. You will see this straight ahead as well. If you go to the left of the sign, you will go to #7 regular tee pad and throw from it as the drop zone with stroke penalty.
Hole 18 - You will tee off from a temp tee. There is a grassy area in front of the tee before the next walking path. This is in direct line of the basket. If you land short of the walking trail, play it as a HAZARD by adding a stroke and playing it where it lies.

A friendly reminder is that the bamboo forests are THICK. If you throw more than a few feet in, you might want to explore taking an unplayable lie. It costs you a stroke, and you must go in a straight line away from the basket. Please be versed on the rules. If someone's disc goes in, someone start the 3 minute clock and all card mates need to help look. Thanks again for keeping pace of play.

PLEASE NOTE: TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF TEMP TEES ON GRASS, WE HAVE ELECTED TO USE THE WALKING PATH ON SEVERAL HOLES. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE NOW USING WALKERS AREAS TO BENEFIT US. PLEASE BE CURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY TO PASSERBYS, AS WELL AS ALLOW THEM THE RIGHT AWAY. IF THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO WAIT A MINUTE, PLEASE DO IT. Luckily the temps will be lower to keep some of them at home, but regardless, please let them have access of the walking trail. Thank you in advance for that. Per PDGA you must check in or can be removed prior to the event. It helps us not have to scramble to make sure there's enough players on cards. It's a PDGA sanctioned event. Please have enough respect for us as TD's to check in. Thank you for your help with this.

Cards will be made up with pace of play in mind. Some cards will be mixed based on numbers in divisions. Pace of play is on each card. With a shotgun start and this layout, there is no reason for any card to get more than 1 hole behind. Please keep pace and be conscious about it.

Also, just a reminder, that any junior younger than 13 must have a parent/guardian on their card. There are many juniors now signing up in non-junior divisions, so we don't always catch this beforehand. Please advise and follow the PDGA guidelines on junior players.

We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments will be posted by 9p Saturday night. However, people drop so I would double check 830a the morning of the event. You can find them here: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/89130

If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 3p on Saturday.

Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 40% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. The Open players will receive cash/PayPal, and the AM's merchandise vouchers. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand. All vouchers must be used day of event. We will not be bringing as much inventory as we had in the past. We were bringing way too much inventory. We will have around 200 discs, towels, chalk bags, hats, minis, etc.

For those who are in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit we will donate it to the UC Discats program.

In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, the playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner, playing the layout from round 1.

This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.

Thanks for your interest in the first of the "Terwilleger Challenge" events run by Josh, Cheryl and Kyle Terwilleger. This is NOT a Crossover event, but a stand alone event run by the Terwilleger family in SW Ohio. In 2025, Crossover is just a SE Indiana club. This will be confusing for people at first.
