I like doing that for the one-round flex start events which typically have a specific purpose in mind (try out a new course or temporary layout, play a course that doesn't get winter play, put a course back on the tournament map, etc.) but for "real events", its really not appropriate. In this case, we'll be sorting players inside their divisions using the same standard I use for all of my events. This is more appropriately in accordance with PDGA standards and eliminates any discussion of "playing favorites' with the organization of cards.
