Good afternoon Tecumseh Takeover participants! Thanks to EVERYONE for making this a completely full event! It's looking like it will be a great weekend for disc golf! Hole assignments will be posted to the PDGA page later this evening. OB Details for each hole are in the attachment and will also be in the live scoring for each hole. Please review prior to the player's meeting as some OB rules are different than normal.
Check-In/Lunch
Check-in begins at 7:30 am and is required for all players. This will be at the JAM building across the road from hole 10's basket. All players can pick up their player’s pack at check-in. At 8:45, a player’s meeting will happen at the same location which will go over the OBs, layouts, digital scoring, and any other pertinent information in depth. Once this is over, players will walk to their starting holes for the first round. This round will likely start around 9:15. Lunch will be approx. 1 hour and 15 mins between the rounds and start after the last card has been submitted from the first round. The start time for round 2 will be posted in the comments on the DiscGolfScene event page AND at tournament central where you checked in. Starting holes will change by score for the second round, please check the PDGA Event page toward the end of the lunch break for your starting holes. Lunch IS PROVIDED onsite and part of your player pack.
Parking/Bathroom/Water
Please park along the road staring past 10's tee and wrapping up through the woods toward the cabins. Both sides of the road may be used. There will be no parking at the JAM building or the Girl's Staff House on the right as you go up the hill. Bathrooms are available inside the JAM building and there are some port-a-johns out on the course. Please DO NOT use the Girl's Staff House or Lodge On The Lake (by hole B). The JAM building also has a water fountain and bottle filler for your use.
PDGA Live Scoring
PDGA digital scoring will be used for this event. To enable this, go to
www.pdga.com/score and type in access code TTAM. You can also download the PDGA Live app for both IOS and Android and hit the Scorecard tab at the bottom. As per PDGA rules, all players need to keep score during the round. Please ensure your phone is charged appropriately for each round. OB Rules for each hole will also be listed in the live scoring.
General Rules/Notes
All PDGA rules will be enforced. This includes the prohibited use of drugs and alcohol of any kind. Drugs and alcohol are also prohibited to be ON CAMP GROUNDS.
Several OB boundaries will be painted and marked by flags for reference. The lines are the OB marker, not the flags. The inbounds side of the lines are what is used to make a decision as a card if the disc is OB. Any part of the disc touching inbounds is considered safe and inbounds.
All roads and walkways are OB, unless otherwise noted. The gravel next to the road is inbounds. A disc touching gravel would be considered inbounds.
If these guidelines, combined with the hole specific OB notes do not settle if a disc is OB then
a) make a decision as a card, OR
b) play a provisional and as a group speak to the TD at the end of the round for a ruling.
If a playoff is needed to break first place ties in any division, players will play holes 1, 2, 3, 9 and 10 in a loop.
Raffle/Floating CTP
There will be a raffle and tickets will be available at check-in and during lunch. The floating CTP will occur during the lunch break and details will be provided onsite tomorrow. Cash will be the easiest way to purchase the raffle and CTP entries but PayPal/Venmo will be available as well.
Payouts/Awards
Following round 2 we will gather at the JAM building for a quick awards announcement and the raffle drawings. $35 per player will be allocated to payout. AM payout will be distributed via OTB East credit within 48 hours of the end of the event to the email provided during registration (please verify at check-in. Added Cash will be distributed across all divisions.
