Team-based tournament in Alternate Shot Team Doubles Format*

Cash payout for top 2-4 teams depending on the number of teams.

After the 1st round, there will be a cut. If 8 or fewer teams signup then only the top 2 teams will advance. If 9 or more teams sign up then the top 4 teams will advance. A sudden death playoff may be necessary to see who makes the cut.

The 2nd round (Final 9) will be match play. The top 2 teams will be playing for 1st & 2nd and the next 2 teams (if applicable) will be playing for 3rd and 4th. After the teams are placed on their card they receive a clean slate and are competing directly against the team on their card.

Team construction guidelines apply. TD has the right to contact the team captain and force them to adjust their roster or risk disqualification/refund if they do not fit within these guidelines.

Contact TD at fsunjm08@gmail if you have questions about team construction guidelines. If a team barely misses these guidelines they may still be accepted. Teams will be reviewed by TD on a team-by-team basis.

Team Construction Guidelines

- Teams should have no more than one player with a PDGA rating of 950+ or averages under 70 at Tom Brown (short pads).

- Teams should have no more than two players with a PDGA rating of 900+ or average under 77 at Tom Brown (short pads).

- The sum of PDGA ratings for your top three players should not exceed 2750.


Alternate Shot Team Doubles Format**

Alternate Shot Team Doubles is played with two sets of teammates, one ODD, one EVEN. The ODD set will tee off on every odd-numbered hole, while the EVEN set tees off on every even-numbered holes. After the tee shots, the team chooses which of the two lies to play. From there, the set that did not tee throws their two shots. Again, the whole team decides which lie to play from and the set that teed off would throw. That alternating process continues until the hole is complete. On the next hole, the corresponding set of teammates according to the hole number, ODD or EVEN, would tee off no matter which set putted out on the previous hole. This format allows for each player to tee off the same amount of times and for teams to play as whole. Each hole has two teams playing together as an eight-some. less
