Hello all,
I am saddened to report that due to a conflicting event with tri c on Saturday, our event was not approved and would not be able to proceed on Saturday.
I have gone back and forth with the event coordinator to try and rectify a date this weekend with no success.
There were discussions of moving to another course to maintain the date, however I know many of you wish to play this course specifically. That in addition to wanting to give people the opportunity to play an event leading up to The beauty and the beast in aug. This tournament is historic to PDGC and has been a staple for many years, and we wish to maintain that. With that being said we are currently finalizing a new date at the end of July between the 25th and 26th.
Our goal is not to interfere with any of the other great events in our area and give time to fully flush out details with this tournament. There have been many changes in admin at Tri-C and many who are unfamiliar with our sport and what it entails and as described to me “different wants from different departments”. I ask that we respect Tri-C’s decision and We will still be working diligently to put on a great event.
Once we have finalized the date we will update the event. For now I have paused registration just until we have the last bit of detail established.
For those who are unhappy with the change or simply unable to make the future date, I hear you and from the bottom of my disc golf heart I apologize. If you wish to withdraw we completely understand and submit a refund request so that we may process that for you. We will make sure you get the full amount returned to you.
