# Welcome to the TD Academy – Tiger Disc Open 2026!
Join us Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Keizer Rapids Park for a PDGA-sanctioned C-tier featuring both Professional and Amateur divisions.
This event is being run as part of the PDGA TD Academy program and as a fundraiser for our local disc golf community.
All tournament proceeds after required payouts and event expenses will be donated to Capital City Disc Golf to help fund new baskets at Cascades Gateway Disc Golf Course.
Come play two rounds of sanctioned disc golf, compete with the local disc golf community, and help us improve one of our local courses at the same time.
## Tournament Details

Location: Keizer Rapids Park
Round 1 Start: 9:00 AM
Format: PDGA-sanctioned C-tier
Rounds: 2 rounds of 18 holes

## Amateur Divisions – $30
The Amateur portion of the Tiger Disc Open will be run using the PDGA True Amateur (trophy-only) format.
Every Amateur player will receive a player package consisting of:
Two tournament discs
One mini marker
The planned disc selection includes molds such as the EMAC Truth, MVP Crave with glow rim, and MVP Insanity with glow rim. Final player-pack selections are subject to availability.
Amateur divisions will compete for trophies based on division participation.
### Amateur Trophy Cutoff – August 30, 2026
August 30, 2026 will be the cutoff date used to determine the number of trophies needed for each Amateur division.
Based on the number of registered players in a division as of the trophy cutoff:
1 player: No trophy required
2–4 players: 1st place trophy
5–12 players: 1st and 2nd place trophies
13+ players: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies
Players may still register after August 30 if registration remains open and space is available, but registrations after the trophy cutoff will not increase the number of trophies ordered for that division.
Amateur divisions will compete for PDGA-sanctioned results while helping raise funds for the Cascades Gateway basket project.
## Division Availability
We want to offer a variety of divisions and make the Tiger Disc Open welcoming to as many players as possible.
Divisions with no registered players may be removed as registration progresses. Divisions with registered players will be handled in accordance with current PDGA division requirements, including requirements for underserved divisions.
## Professional Divisions – $50
Professional divisions will compete for cash payouts.
Professional payouts will be calculated in accordance with PDGA requirements for a C-tier event and based on the number of players in each division.
Remaining tournament proceeds after required payouts and event expenses will go toward the Cascades Gateway basket fundraiser through Capital City Disc Golf.
## Optional $1 Ace Pot
Players may enter the optional $1 Ace Pot during registration.
If one or more participating players hit an ace during tournament play, the Ace Pot will be paid to the eligible ace hitter(s). If multiple eligible players hit aces, the pot will be divided equally.
If no ace is hit, the entire unclaimed Ace Pot will be donated to the Cascades Gateway basket fund through Capital City Disc Golf.
## Playing for a Better Cascades Gateway
This tournament is about more than scores.
Capital City Disc Golf is working toward replacing the baskets at Cascades Gateway Disc Golf Course, and this event is an opportunity for our disc golf community to help make that happen.
Play a tournament. Support local disc golf. Help put new baskets in the ground at Cascades Gateway.
Thank you for supporting the TD Academy – Tiger Disc Open 2026, Tiger Discs, Capital City Disc Golf, and our local disc golf community.
