The Oratia Disc Golf Club, Auckland Disc Golf Club and Tour Down Under are thrilled to announce the 2025 New Zealand Disc Golf Open at the Oratia Orchard Disc Golf Course, taking place from January 25th-27th! This premier PDGA A-Tier event, part of the Tour Down Under, is set to attract top-touring professionals from around the world.
With space limited to 160 competitors, this tournament will showcase the most challenging layout yet at this beautiful venue. Registration will be tiered by PDGA rating to encourage an elite-quality field. Join us this Auckland Anniversary long weekend for an unforgettable event at Auckland's Oratia Orchard Disc Golf Course!

About Oratia Orchard Disc Golf Course:
Renowned for its dramatic elevation changes, lush rolling hills, and fairways lined with fruit trees, the Oratia Orchard Disc Golf Course offers an exhilarating blend of risk and reward, challenging even the most skilled players. Nestled in a sprawling fruit orchard within the Waitakere Ranges of West Auckland, this course features stunning native New Zealand bush, creating a spectacular natural backdrop that pairs beauty with difficulty.
Competitors will take on one of three layouts, including a Championship course stretching over 2700 meters, designed to test the world’s elite, and an intermediate layout offering an enjoyable yet demanding experience for amateurs and juniors. Don’t miss the chance to see world-class disc golfers in action while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality at Tournament HQ and beyond.

Format:
All divisions: Three 18 hole rounds, one round per day, tee times.
Group 1 | MPO, MP40, MP50 and MA1 will play the championship 'Gold' layout: Par 63, 2700m (8641ft).
Group 2 | FPO, FP40, FA1, MA40 and MA50 will play the advanced 'Blue' layout: Par 66, 2262m (7238ft)
Group 3 | MA2, MA3, FA2 & Junior Divisions will play the intermediate 'Red' layout: Par 65, 2003m (6410ft).
To be considered valid, a division must have at least four entrants by Monday, 20th January. Adjustments to divisions may be made after this date, with affected players being notified accordingly.
Player Pack & Prizes
All amateur entries will receive a player pack valued at NZD$120. This will include 2x Special Edition Discraft Discs, a hole in one party voucher and two lunch vouchers for use throughout the event. There will also be a stacked prize table up for grabs once the scores are settled!
Lunches
All players will receive two lunch vouchers for use at on-site hospitality options throughout the event.
Parking
Free parking is available on Shaw Road and West Coast Road. A small dedicated carpark is also available off Shaw Road, opposite the entrance to the Oratia Orchard Disc Golf Course.
Ammenities
Restroom facilities are available at Tournament HQ, near Hole 1 and Hole 3, as well as at Hole 11. Water stations will be conveniently located across the course, approximately every 3-5 holes, in addition to Tournament HQ.

Refunds and Rebates
As of December 1st, 2024, the price for amateur registration has been reduced from $159.99 to $139.99. Amateur players who registered before December 1st will receive a $20 partial refund by Friday, December 6th.
