About this tournament
The Tour Down Under and Auckland Disc Golf Club are thrilled to announce the 2025 New Zealand Disc Golf Open at Redwood Park Golf Club, taking place from January 25th-27th! This premier PDGA A-Tier event, part of the Tour Down Under, is set to attract top-touring professionals from around the world.
With space limited to 160 competitors, this tournament will showcase the most challenging layout yet at this world-class venue. Registration will be tiered by PDGA rating to encourage an elite-quality field. Join us this Auckland Anniversary long weekend for an unforgettable event at Auckland's Redwood Park GC!
About Redwood Park GC:
Known for its dramatic undulation, Redwood Park’s rolling fairways and water hazards creates an exciting layer of risk and reward to every round, testing even the most skilled players.Set amidst meticulously manicured grounds, Redwood Park is also home to towering old-growth redwood trees, creating a breathtaking natural setting that combines beauty with challenge.
Please note: The collaboration between Tour Down Under and Redwood Park Golf Club is contingent upon the successful securing of funding and sponsorship sufficient to meet the venue partnership criteria. A definitive update regarding the status of funding and sponsorship will be provided by November 30, 2024. In the event that the required funding is not achieved, a contingency plan will be enacted, utilising one of two alternative venues.
About the Course:
This picturesque venue, paired with the technical demands of the layout, makes the New Zealand Disc Golf Open a must-see event down under. A long, undulating course isn't just for the big bombers, it also demands a variety of technical shots and skills. This years layout features a selection of new and improved holes, building on the fantastic layout build for the 46th NZ National Champs. With a Par 68 and stretching over 3000 meters from the championship tees, Redwood Park offers plenty of space to explore and enjoy.

Format:
All divisions: Three 18 hole rounds, one round per day, tee times.
Group 1 | MPO, MP40, MP50 and MA1 will play the 'Gold' layout: Par 68, 3043m (9984ft).
Group 2 | FPO, FP40 and all other Amateur & Junior Divisions will play the 'Blue' layout: Par 67, 2600m (8530ft).
Player Pack & Prizes
All amateur entries will receive a player pack. This will have a range of goodies, including a hole in one party voucher and two lunch vouchers for use throughout the event. There will also be a stacked prize table up for grabs once the scores are settled!

Refund policy
We recognise that circumstances may arise that prevent players from participating in our event. To ensure fairness and transparency, we have established the following refund policy:
1. Refund Eligibility:
Requests for refunds must be made by logging into your DG Scene account.Refunds will only be issued to registered players who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in this policy.
2. Refund Deadlines:
Refund requests will be accepted and process automatically until January 4th, 2025, which is 21 days before the tournament's scheduled start date. After the refund deadline has passed, no refunds will be issued.
3. Refund Amounts:
Refunds requested before the refund deadline will be subject to an administrative fee to cover processing costs.
4. Eligible Circumstances for Refunds:
Refund requests submitted after January 4th, 2025, will be considered under the following circumstances:
a. Medical Emergency: A player sustains a medical injury or illness that prevents their participation. Documentation from a qualified medical professional may be required.
b. Tournament Cancellation: In the event that the New Zealand Open is canceled for any reason, participants will receive a full refund of their registration fees.
6. Non-Refundable Items:
Certain items, such as tournament merchandise or optional add-ons, may be non-refundable. Please refer to the registration information for details.
7. Discretion:
The Tour Down Under reserves the right to exercise discretion in exceptional cases and may consider refund requests that do not strictly adhere to this policy.
In registering for the New Zealand Disc Golf Open, participants acknowledge and accept this refund policy. This refund policy is subject to change at the discretion of New Zealand Disc Golf Open organisers, and any updates will be communicated to registered participants.
