We are gauging the economic impact of the event, and we need your help! Below you will see a link to a short online survey on our Convention & Visitors Bureau website, ExploreVictoriaTexas.com. If you could please fill out the survey that asks just a few simple questions in regards to your visit to Victoria, it would be greatly appreciated.



As a thank you, the Victoria Convention & Visitors Bureau will draw for three (3) $100.00 gift cards to Academy Sports + Outdoors from all surveys submitted. Please fill out and submit the survey by 5PM CST on Friday, February 18, 2022. The prize drawing will take place afterwards and winners will be contacted via email.

Who is ready to battle the elements this weekend? There is no doubt we will have chain swinging winds and cold temps, but as avid disc golfers’ winter just shows how much we love this game! We will show up trying to make birdies, save pars and hang out with friends! As your TD and an experienced disc dude I just want to make sure everyone is prepared for the elements, dresses appropriately, stays warm, dry and has a great time!
A few tips to remember:

The disc does not Fly as far! When it’s cold the Air is heavier, created additional drag and won’t let your disc fly as far! Consider discing up in some situations. It’s all about managing what you can and accepting the rest. Leave your EGO at the door as you can’t control the weather so there is no reason to fight it! Keep cool and take what the course gives you!

WARM UP! Give yourself more time than normal to get warmed up and ready to TEE. GET LOOSE & WARM! Save the beers and conversation for after the round.

Don’t leave your disc in the car overnight! Even though you probably think it's saving you time, leaving your disc in the car overnight or for an extended period is never a good idea. In cold weather, the plastic disc contracts and becomes firmer. Leave them in room temperature and keep bag closed during round.

Prepare your mental game! Everyone is playing the same conditions, and everyone will feel some frustration during the round! BE THE ONE WHO MANAGES IT THE BEST! GRIND IT OUT!

HAVE FUN! Stay positive & love your life! I have struggled at times with having fun during my rounds, and after almost 15 years it finally hit me over the head like “FOOOORE”, that there was no way I could reach my goals as a player if I wasn’t enjoying my time on the course.

Thank you all for joining us for the First TAAF Winter Games at the beautiful Riverside and Fox's Bend disc Golf course! The Courses are in great shape and Onestar is very excited to see all our friends and fellow disc golfers tackle these courses. Our mission for the event is to create and maintain a permanent positive representation of Disc Golf during the TAAF Winter Games in Victoria!

Due to COVID restrictions there will be No players meeting or a need to check IN, please proceed to the starting hole. A.Ms / Sponsors you can get your player pack anytime Saturday and Sunday. Hole assignments will be posted Friday around 5pm on the PDGA event page.

Rule 808 Scoring must be followed without exception. Each group will also receive a paper score card. Each card will also receive a paper score card for back up.

General Course Rules:
All PDGA Rules will be followed to promote fair play for all disc golfers. If any point in dispute is not covered by the rules, the decision is made in accordance with fairness.
-The TWO-meter rule IS NOT IN EFFECT!
-Use provisional throws, when necessary, to save time!
-Lost DISC: (3) minutes to locate (everyone must HELP! PDGA 805.03), if determined lost proceed to previous lie w/ one stroke penalty.

-OUT of BOUNDS (ALL COURSES)
PYLONS & BEYOND IS O.B. PYLONS with Lines O.B., Painted lines & Beyond O.B. Road & BEYOND IS O.B. Water is O.B., Any Fence and beyond is OB.

MANDATORY: defined as a straight line extending infinitely from the center of the mandatory object (TREE)

RIVERSIDE Hole Specific Rules:
● Hole 2 – Mandatory Left; Marked Tee; Use marked Drop zone (DZ) if missed.
● Hole 7 – ISLAND – OB MARKED BY LINE, OB is Marked. Throw from Drop Zone if Tee Shot lands OB. Subsequent shots thrown OB should be marked where the disc was last in bounds.
● Hole 12 – OB running along rivers edge LEFT fairway is OB with LINES PAINTED & FLAGS.
All other holes follow general rules and PDGA rules.

Fox's Bend Hole Specific Rules:
• HOLE 1: MANDATORY left of marked Tree; Proceed to Drop Zone (DZ) if missed.
• HOLE 2: HAZARD Lake in front of Basket; Play as it lies with (1) Stroke penalty.
• HOLE 4: MANDATORY Right of marked Tree; Proceed to Drop Zone (DZ) if missed. O.B. marked right of Fairway, Big Drop off BE CAREFUL!
• HOLE 9: MANDATORY (Double) in between marked Tree’s; Proceed to Drop Zone (DZ) if missed.
• Hole 16: MANDATORY (2)! First Mando Right of marked Tree, if missed RE-TEE, 2nd Mando Right of Marked Tree fairway, if missed proceed to Drop Zone (DZ).

Hello all players! With the new PDGA rule for 2022 that requires a player to be a current PDGA member to play B-tiers and above we have decided to make this event a C-tier. The Victoria Parks & Recreation, The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation and Onestar disc golf does not want to limit the amateur's who can play and we don’t want to force new players to have to become a members to participate. We will still run this event like it’s a B-tier with lots of perks and added cash however this event is geared to attract Amateur's and grow the sport so we have changed the tier. If this has caused an issue or you would like a refund please reach out.. thanks!
