The 2021 Sunstein Open at Sunnymede will take place on Memorial Day weekend (May 29-30), at the beautiful Sunnymede Disc Golf Course. Sunnymede is a private, 18 hole, 7,000 foot disc golf course created on a beautiful piece of land in Middleboro. The course is a proper mix of fields, woods, and combinations, which equally balance throws for right or left handed players.

Sunnymede will be the first stop of the Series, and will feature two day event Sat - Pros, Sunday- Ams playing one of the best private courses in Massachusetts.
NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED UNLESS CLEARED WITH RICH OR RAIVIS BEFOREHAND

Layouts:
1st Round Blue Green (5,900' par 54) Par Rating = 978 ish
2nd Round Blues (7400, par 63) Par Rating = 960 ish
This will be a Shotgun Start playing 2 different layouts
No Players Meeting will be held
PDGA Electronic Scoring will be used (email will be sent week of for access details and course rules)
No 2 Meter Rule in Effect
Pros Playing for Cash Winnings (PayPal)
All OB will be Observed
If in doubt, Take A Provisional!
Preliminary schedule:
8:00 AM - Registration opens
8:55 AM - Check In cutoff. If not checked in, will be declared a NO SHOW
9:15 AM - Round 1
12:00 PM - Lunch (On your own, quick turnaround, will end no later than 45 minutes after last card)
1:30 PM - Round 2
4:45 PM - Awards
All professional players receiving cash payouts will be paid electronically.
We do plan to have some sorta of award ceremony for podium finishes so feel free to stay around and watch them get showered with champagne and flowers!

We will make use of the PDGA live scoring. Cards will shuffle between rounds one and two based on place. An announcement will be made by email and on the tournament FB page to indicate round 2 start time. Hole assignments will be updated on the PDGA tournament site.

Winners of this event AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY for the Massachusetts Grand Prix!!

The Massachusetts Grand Prix will take place on October 23 at the world's number one rated disc golf course, Maple Hill.
Thirty-two total invites will be made for this private year-end tournament, and Sunstein LLP is guaranteeing a minimum of $2,500 cash to be added to the pro player purse.
There will be one winner in each of the MPO, FPO, MA1, and FA1 divisions in a stroke play event. The winner of the MA1 division will receive a championship belt, meanwhile FA1 will receive a special glass trophy, signifying their status as the 2021 champion amateur golfer of Massachusetts. less

Will you be adding an MP 40+ division? Or is this one for the young guns?
Hi Mike, For the Pros the point series will not include any other divisions outside MPO and FPO. Most point series including the DGPT are following this path as well. When creating the PDGA evet we also made sure to note that it's a point series so they are aware as well. The Sunstein AM events will have different divisions to encourage more rec and novice play.
