Great job Chris! Thank you to everyone who helped all weekend starting with marking the course into the darkness of Friday night to those who adjusted hole 9 and 18 in the rain after the event was over and everyone in between. This 2 day weekend event was truly a group effort. MCCG rocks!

If we were to have made a switch we would have gone with a Sunday only event. It appears as though we will not be switching but I have to say that many people will never understand the stress this specific event causes. It is way too early to tell but I can foresee this defaulting back to a 1 day event next year for our own sanity. With a 1 day event, if it gets capped and it sells out like it did last year then so be it. It sold out so fast that we talked the owner into allowing us to turn it into a 2 day event. Even though we brought in more than 80 players during those 2 days, we did not maximize his facility. Last year we had the opportunity for 160 players and 127 competed. From a business standpoint, the disc golf course didnu2019t make what a weekend of ball golf would have made. In brief, this event is not being played in a city park. This event is being played at a business. A couple of us took a huge risk saying we can bring players in so the owner has closed his business for us. I am not writing this in any means of a threat but in business, if you don't bring in the money, you shut it down. The course will remain but good luck trying to sell the event next year if we only get half a field and he turns away ball golfers willing to spend a lot more than $5. Just using simple math, the disc golfers revenue for a single day at last years event was less than half of what ball golfers pay. On the other hand, most ball golfers walk and I am approximating that the cart rentals would have doubled for the disc golfers so the revenue would be close. We are far from 127 players signed up which is why I was getting a little jittery.
