Hey All!

Hole Assignment Changes
We had quite a few players switch divisions this afternoon, so please double check your starting hole tonight on the PDGA Event Page. No other division switches are allowed so what's currently published will be permanent.

Keeping Score
We have a lot of new players in this event, so I just want to reiterate that all players MUST keep score for their group. The (3) options are PDGA Scoring (preferred), other digital, such as UDisc or a paper scorecard (bring your own pencil). Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Tournament Schedule
7:30-8:30AM - Course Build Out
8:00AM - Player Check-In Opens @ Tourney Central
8:00AM-9:15AM Player Warm Up/Practice
9:15AM - Brief Players Meeting @ Tourney Central
10:00AM (Approx) - First Round Tee Time
1:00PM (Approx) - Lunch Break
2:30PM (Approx) - 2nd Round Tee Time
6:00PM (Approx) - Awards/Payout

Distant Holes
Players assigned to Holes 6-13 may want to opt in to driving (and carpooling) over to Valley Ct. which goes along those parts of the course. You can park in the grass near the entrance to Hole 6 or further north near the basket (but not too close) on Hole 12. Let me know if you need directions.

This email is going to include lots of pertinent information so make sure you read through everything.

Course Address: 7223 Massachusetts Ave, New Port Richey, FL 34653

Tournament Central & Check In: Located at the orange tents near the parking lot by Holes 1 & 18. Players must check in before they start their round on Saturday. Pick up your players pack, get in the Ace/CTP Fund (if you haven't already), tell me how much you miss me, etc.

This is where you will find your Round 1 & Round 2 Hole assignments and scores.

Lunch Break: We will have a minimum of 1 hour lunch break. The Round 2 Tee Time will be 1 hour after the last group finishes Round 1. Check the PDGA Event Page above for Round 2 Tee Time and Hole Assignments. I highly recommend making your lunch plans in advance so when Round 1 is finished, you're good to go,

Players Meeting: This is your players meeting. All of the course info is located here in this email. We will have a brief introduction meeting and brief Q & A at 9:15am to explain our goals for this course and for Disc Golf in Pasco County and to answer any event/course questions.

Course Basics: The course was designed to have the best possible holes with what the former golf course land has given for opportunities and I think we achieved that. With that being said, there will be certain sections that require some lengthy walks between holes (5 to 6, 12 to 13 and 13 to 14). Please use UDisc Maps and look for directional signs. Lastly, even though Pasco County has done an amazing job on cleaning up the course the last 72 hours, there are still some rough patches out there, please wear proper footwear.

Course Legend: The only Out of Bound areas (OBs) on the course are as follows: All Ponds (surrounded by water), All Parking Lots, All Streets, All Sidewalks (not cart paths). 2-Meter Rule is NOT in effect.

All players must keep score. We will be utilizing PDGA digital scoring but it's not mandatory, so UDisc or paper scorecard can also be used, but then those scores must be reconciled by those players using PDGA digital scoring.

Format: (2) Rounds of 18 Holes. First Round Tee Time is 10:00am. Groups will consist of 4-5 players.

Tee Assignments:
Blue Tees - MPO/MP40/MP50/MA1/MA40
White Tees - MA50/MA60/MA70/MA2
Red Tees - All Other Divisions

Food/Drinks: There will be public drinking water jugs supplied on the course. Regardless, please bring an ample supply of beverages or the Sun King Mobile Pro Shop will have a wide assortment of snacks and cold beverages (Gatorade, Arizona Teas, Mountain Dew & Bottled Water) for purchase.

New Tournament Players: For those of you new to playing PDGA sanctioned events, please peruse through the PDGA Rules and especially read through these particular rules below.

PDGA Rules: This event is sanctioned and will be using all PDGA Rules. Here are a couple of rules to consider to speed up play:

CTP Prizes: Closest to the Pin prizes will be put out during the 2nd Round on Saturday

Awards: A very basic and brief awards ceremony, per division, will take place after the event is complete.

Prize Payout: The top 45% of Amateur Players will be eligible for Prize Payout which will be emailed after Round 2 has started.

Just a heads-up to those out there using online directions to get to the course: Microsoft Bing is wrong with its directions. It will have you go up Rowan Road and onto Lake Magnolia Dr to get to the course (even using the course address), but it is well away from the parking lot near holes 1 & 18. Bing's map doesn't even show that a parking lot exists. Use Google Maps or some other site/app that has you driving to the parking lot just off Massachusetts instead.

Hey All!

Due to the low event registration, we have decided to convert this event into a 1-day, two round event.

We plan on having the course open for practice on Friday and we will also consider having the course open to the public on Sunday as well. There will be a "greens fee" of $5 for anyone NOT registered for the event.

With that being said, please get your friends. family and fellow disc golfers to register for the event so we can show Pasco County how serious we are about needing new, public Disc Golf Courses in the area!

If you cannot make the event now, please process a refund request.
