The CTP will take place on hole 17. It is open to all divisions for both rounds. If someone records an ace on this hole, they will also win the CTP prize. If multiple aces are recorded on this hole, there will be a secondary CTP throw off from Hole 17's red tee for the prize.
COURSE RULES
Attached is the course rules document which describes where the out of bounds on each hole. Please review it and use it as a guide for play. Baskets will have spray painted circles marking Circle 1 and OB lines will be marked by white stakes, paint, or road lines. For OB without stakes or paint, if your disc is touching in bounds at all play it as in bounds. If it is in question, confirm with your card what the correct play is; including if necessary to play a provisional throw. Please keep tightly to the 3 minute rule for any lost discs.
Please take care to let groups play ahead safely. If you are teeing off on hole 8, 10, or 14, please wait for the hole in front's tee pad to clear.
CAUTION** There are gravel walking paths that interact with the course. Please be aware when throwing if there are folks on the paths as they have right of way.
FACILITIES
Restrooms and water refills are located at the Overlook Pavilion near Hole 17's tee pad and at the baseball fields by after Hole 8's basket. Please be considerate of other park goers and that we are representing disc golf in the Pittsburgh area. It is a privilege for us to be able to use the park for this event.
Due to other events booked at the park on both days, parking will be limited to the regions detailed in the image below parking map.
Parking by Hole 1, along the road by Hole 18, and along the road to Overlook Pavilion will be closed. Additional parking is available at the baseball fields by Hole's 8/9. This may be faster for folks starting on holes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.
The event will not have food available for purchase. Please plan to bring lunch or head to one of the local restaurants (~5 minutes to Chipotle, Chick'n, Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe, J. Gumbo's, etc).
Pittsburgh Flying Disc will have discs and merchandise for sale at the conclusion of play on both days of the event at the Overlook Pavilion.
PLAYOFFS and AWARDS
Since this is a trophy only event for AM's, all ties for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in all divisions will be broken by a playoff. The playoff loop shall be Holes 16, 17, and 18 on a loop starting on Hole 17. After all playoffs (if any) are complete, the awards ceremony will begin.
If the ace pot is not hit, there will be a throw off on Hole 17. If no ace is hit, CTP will take home 50% of the Ace Pot.
Open division payouts will be conducted via Paypal in the days after the event.
Thank you and we look forward to the event!
