2025 ELKHART COUNTY’S BIGGEST DISC GOLF WEEKEND

COURSE LAYOUTS AND OUT-OF-BOUNDS IN EFFECT FOR ALL THREE EVENTS
The OB will also be found on the PDGA electronic scorecard. All standing water is casual and must be played as such.
Hole 1 - In or over the road to the left of the fairway and Stable Shelter area behind the basket.
Hole 2 - Failure to navigate the mando or a lost disc on the hole; add a stroke and take your next shot from the drop zone.
Hole 3 - In or over the road to the right of the tee and behind the basket.
Hole 5 - Road to the right of the basket. On top of or inside the shelter is OB. Failure to reach the island on your drive, play it where it lies and add one stroke to your final hole score. The fence line and orange paint are the line
Hole 6 - The access road behind the basket.
Hole 9 - The private property behind the basket.
Hole 12 - The river is OB.
Hole 13 - The river is OB. Also the access road to the right of the basket is OB.
Hole 19 - The Ox Bow School property to the right of the basket and the line behind the basket.
Hole 20 - The parking lot to the left of the fairway and the Ox Bow School property to the right.
Hole 21 - The maintenance area to the right of the fairway and the road behind the basket.
Hole 22 - The maintenance area to the right of the fairway. The road to the left of the fairway.
Hole 23 - In or over the road to the right of the fairway and behind the basket. The white string ins the line.
Hole 24 - In or over the road to the right of the fairway. The parking area is in bounds.
SCORING
All players must keep score. We will be using PDGA live scoring for this event. You may download the app, available for Apple and Android or log in online to:

FRIDAY: MICHIANA PRO SHOP SUMMER SIZZLER
This is a one round, flex-start event. Please enter through the auxiliary gate located between the main entrance and the service center. It’s a dirty road running parallel with hole 23. Do not use the main entrance. The spillway will be closed. You may park in the small lot adjacent to hole 24 or the large lot by the putting green or the auxiliary lot just inside the auxiliary gate. DO NOT park by hole 5.
Ams will pick up their player package at check-in which beginning at 1:30 p.m First cards will tee off at 2 p.m. The TD will be at the putting green for check-in. NOTE: As mentioned previously, all golfers who registered AFTER the original 72 entrants will receive an alternative player package from the custom tournament disc.
PAYOUTS
This is a true amateur event. There is no payout. Gold, silver and bronze colored medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each division. Pros will receive cash payouts and a gold medal for first place.

GROUPS FOR FRIDAY
You may form your own group of at least 3 three players but no more than five players (with TD approval). If you do not have a group you will be assigned one. Groups may consist of players shooting on different layouts. Please pay attention to which long and short tees if you’re playing in a mixed grouping.
DISC GOLF PARTY
On Saturday, after The Classic be sure to attend. The party begins at 5 p.m. at the Black Maple Shelter. Complete with a food truck and the Goshen Brewing Company beer tent. We will also have several disc golf vendors on site. At 6 p.m. The Erly will perform a three-hour Grateful Dead cover set. We will also have a putting contest and fastest drive contest, and new this year, a 9-hole putter course. All competitions are free to enter and open to tournament players, family, friends, and guests. You may have three attempts at the fastest drive contest and three attempts at the putting contest. Trophies will be awarded to the champion and first runner-up in Expert, Amateur and Beginner divisions.
The celebration is free and open to the public. There is a three dollar per vehicle park entry fee. Disc golfers should leave their vehicles parked at the disc golf course area and walk over to the celebration. Parking is limited and you’ll likely have a shorter walk from the disc golf course than the available parking by the time your round is finished.
The event concludes at 9 p.m. and the park will close immediately following.
SATURDAY - THE CLASSIC AT OX BOW
This is a two-round (48 holes) event. The park and course will be open by 7:00 a.m. Please enter through the auxiliary gate which is located about 1/4 mile north of the main entrance before the maintenance entrance and Ox Bow School. Look for a dirt road off of County Road 45.
Once you enter the park, drive up the dirt road (parallel to hole 23) and turn left at the intersection. You can park by hole one or a little further up between holes 2, 19 and 20. Stable Shelter is there. Bathrooms are also in that location.
Check-in will begin no later than 7:30 a.m. with the mandatory player's meeting at 8:10 a.m. and tee off at 8:30. All players must check in at tournament central which is located at the Stable Shelter.
Ams will pick up their player package at check-in. Hole assignments will be posted late Friday evening at the PDGA event page for The Classic but are subject to change.
Please be mindful of the schedule. We will observe a strict 1-hour break between the first and second rounds on Saturday. There is no player meeting between rounds. After lunch you should go to your assigned hole (which will be posted on the event page at pdga.com) and await the 2-minute warning.
Consider packing your lunch. If you leave the park between rounds please re-enter through the auxiliary gate and leave yourself time to get back just in case there is a train or two on the tracks which run parallel with CR 45 and perpendicular to the 15 or so restaurants across from the park.
AWARDS AND PAYOUT
The awards ceremony will take place at Black Maple Shelter, the same location as our disc golf party and concert. Michiana Pro Shop will be on hand to redeem amateur division payouts. Pros will receive cash payouts. Trophies will be awarded to top finishers at this time as well. If needed, the throw-off for the ace fund will take place on hole 9 of the putter course.

SUNDAY - DOG DAYS DOUBLES
This is a one-round shotgun start event. I’m adding hole A to the layout for Sunday to allow for two additional teams to participate. Players on the waitlist after check-in who do not get into the event will have their entry fully refunded (minus the PayPal fees).

PAYOUTS
This is a true amateur event. There is no payout. Trophies for the top teams in each division.. NOTE: Amateurs playing in the Gold Division have the option of receiving cash and turning pro, declining the cash, or receiving a merchandise credit at Michiana Pro Shop. The merchandise credit can be redeemed online or in person at the shop in Wakarusa. Distribution of credit will take place the week following the event.
