I did not want to have to send this message or post this at all, but unfortunately, it has come to a point where my hands are absolutely tied and a tough decision needs to be made.
Spring Thing 3 will be CANCELLED.
This is the last thing we wanted to do, but amidst everything going on, the Forest Preserve has revoked the special event permits through the middle of May, which rules out the rescheduled May 3rd date. We looked at other locations for this date, and no one is willing to issue a permit in these uncertain times.
With the schedule becoming more and more crowded beyond that date, and larger events needing to reschedule already, we figured focusing on the Northern IL Open should be the priority. I am so sorry to anyone who was excited to play in the Spring Thing this year, it is a true bummer for us all.
THE GAME PLAN:
Wait-listers, you have been refunded.
Pros, you are being refunded.
AMS - You still will get your player pack of an event stamped disc, pencil & sticker. You will also get a 50% ($12.50) refund of your entry fee (plus Ace/CTP and non-member $10 fee if applicable). This will come as I get in touch with each one of you, as I hope to allow and accommodate everyone to pick out their disc. Shoot me and a PM or email to pick a disc. I can ship if needed, I will just deduct $5 from your refund amount.
Players pack discs include: ESP force, ESP nuke, ESP Buzzz, ESP Thrasher, Z Buzzz, Z Comet, Z Vulture, Z Zone, Jawbreaker Zone, Jawbreaker Roach.
THE RAFFLE WILL GO ON! The 90 of you registered at the time of this cancellation will be entered into the raffle where we still have 25 prizes to give away, including the grand prize being a basket. I will announce when I will run the raffle, Facebook live style, once this message reaches everyone.
