The 16th annual Southside Smackdown will be held on August 29, 2020 at Chickasabouge Park. Two rounds of 18 holes. The tournament has a 9:00 start time. There''s an hour break for lunch starting after the last card is finished. Each course will have separate starting times for the second round. All three courses (original, ridge, temp) are in use.

Friday doubles starts at 2:00 and goes till around 6:00. All cash pay in ($20 per team) and payout. Pro, advanced, am and women divisions. This will most likely be the last time you can signup for the Smackdown. If you can pick up player packs, that would be helpful.

With covid rules and regulations, we're going with online scoring with no registration on tournament day. There will be plenty of bottled water for the players. A bottle of hand sanitizer will accompany each cooler. We strongly recommend using sanitizer each time.

One thing we strive to do is provide plenty of food throughout the day. Unfortunately with covid, that will not be the case this year. PDGA doesn't want food served or any large congregation of people. All info such as starting hole, OB's, etc.going to be listed online before tournament day.

All amateur divisions get a shirt, disc of their choice, sticker, pencil and some snacks valued over $30. The only money deducted from entry fees, is our cost of the disc.

Pool A: MPO, MP 40, MP 50, MA 1
Pool B: FPO, FP 40, MP 60, MA 40, MA 50, FA 1
Pool C: MA 2, MA 3, MA 4, FA 2 and juniors

Pool A plays The Ridge first round and the temp course second round
Pool B plays the temp course first round and The Original second round
Pool C: plays The Original first round and The Ridge second round

Novice, juniors and intermediate women will play 5 shortened holes on The Ridge. All other holes played are from the regular tees. All other divisions play regular tees.

Extras include: free raffles, CTP's, regular raffles and skittles for a transit cart from Zuca

Sponsorship is key to the success of the Smackdown. We have three sponsorship levels.
Tee sign; $25
Tee sign and small spot on T shirt: $50
Tee sign and larger spot on T shirt: $100
Each $50 T shirt sponsor gets a tournament shirt and $100 T shirt sponsors get two.

Top prizes for amateur division winners include baskets, Zuca carts and high end disc golf bags. The advanced winner gets first pick and we'll work our way down from there.

Guaranteed $2,000 added cash to the pro field. Our goal is to beat that number.

The Smackdown is A PDGA C tier and a Southern National qualifier
