Congrats on your wins this year, catch you around.

Mark Janssen   August 31, 2018 at 4:03am

thats awesome that you already have a PDGA membership as a fresh player. Your welcome to come to Bill Frederick and spectate or even volunteer a little, we can always use the help.

Tyler Mikell   September 2, 2018 at 8:09am

Thank you my close friends got me into disc golf after I was in a bad accident, wasnt my fault but everthing happens for a reason. I would like to volunteer for the course in Eusits if possible, also wanted to caddie for my brother Austin who is now on 2nd card atm I think. But I didnt make the dead ... more

Looking at the pad assignments for Advanced, looks like we will be paying to get into Bill Frederick park all three days. Is this correct?

Mark Janssen   August 28, 2018 at 12:43pm

With the construction still in progress at Barnett, we lost the Parkside course this time out. So yes you are correct.

Nicholas Ribera   August 28, 2018 at 6:09pm

I was under the impression we'd be playing Northside twice on the day we were out there. I figured that made more sense then driving to another park during lunch.

Mark Janssen   August 29, 2018 at 12:40am

That approach would keep other divisions/pools from being able to play North as it would only allow for two pools to play that course.

Mark Janssen    August 27, 2018 at 7:23pm

All players will receive an email mid-week with the current players program which will have a plethora of information to answer many questions.

Why are players who have dropped out/been refunded still on the registered players' list?

Mark Janssen   August 27, 2018 at 4:57pm

Players that have already been refunded are not on the list. Some players are still in discussion on their options after requesting withdrawal and therefore have not been fully processed. Additionally, we had a pause this weekend in updating the registration as we created all the players score and leader board cards. Most updates will catch up this evening.

When or where can we find out what pool we are in. Thanks for everything

Robert Cruz   August 27, 2018 at 1:02pm

I don't think pool assignments are out yet.

Mark Janssen   August 27, 2018 at 7:22pm

yes, they are on the website. Although, the Intermediate pool did not need a second pool this year so it's really more by division, but the pools are listed at http://www.southeasternamateurchampionship.com/course-and-pad-assignments/

Ken Sapp    August 26, 2018 at 5:39pm

If i needed to withdraw this week, when is the latest i can do it and it open up a spot in my division?

Mark Janssen   August 27, 2018 at 3:13am

We follow the PDGA guidelines for withdrawals. With the number of courses we use for the event, there are plenty of spots for all divisions.

Kandace Agner    August 23, 2018 at 11:43am

Will we be playing both parks still? I’ve heatd one was out. Sorry, if this has already been answered

Mike Cain   August 23, 2018 at 12:09pm

Yes. We will only be playing Barnett North but Parkside is out.

Mark Janssen   August 23, 2018 at 12:42pm

course and pool assignments are on www.SoutheasternAmateurChampionship.com

Buddy Thornton    August 21, 2018 at 12:28pm

What is the best way to find out the afternoon start times during the tournament?

Mark Janssen   August 21, 2018 at 2:31pm

Your program will include the most up to date schedule. We are leaving plenty of time to travel between courses if you pool schedule requires. Any changes are posted on the Facebook page "Orlando Disc Golf Club" which is different that the group discussion page "Orlando Disc Golf Inc"

Glenn Alexander    August 11, 2018 at 1:46pm

Came in from Jacksonville to hang at Turkey Lake for an extended weekend and get in some practice time for the tournament and was wondering if the Woods course was gonna get cleaned up and mowed before the tournament? Numorous trees down, grass is about knee high and trails are over vegetation. Just curious cause if not this will be a very interesting round.

Awesome and yes I did notice all the tee pads are finished now I very pumped to play another tournament here. It’s where I started playing and are some of my favorite courses to play. Gotta head back home tomorrow so better make the best of my last practice day. Thanks

Gary (OMG) Pituch   August 13, 2018 at 1:46pm

Thanks Mark and Bill (and everyone else) for all the hard work. Can you post in the thread when it's finally cut? That course is a **** when it's a jungle. And I'm old. :-)

Mark Janssen   August 13, 2018 at 3:28pm

sure thing, did a work party out there yesterday and cleared up most of the trees and cleaned up extra concrete and such from the last pour. Will update on mowing conditions. All pins are now set as well on all courses.

Kevin Nollmeyer    August 8, 2018 at 3:31pm

When will we know what pin positions will be used for the tournament?

Mark Janssen   August 8, 2018 at 3:41pm

A majority of the holes are in their final positions. The Woods course is all set, and North and Original courses are most likely set as well. There may be some changes on T2 still forthcoming.

Mark Janssen   August 13, 2018 at 9:02pm

All pin positions are now set

Gary (OMG) Pituch    August 8, 2018 at 3:18pm

Mark: For those of us who may not live right around the corner from any of these courses, but want to get over there for a bit of practice from the pads we'll be tossing from, when do you plan on posting pad assignments for each course? ASAP I hope. Cheers...Gary

As stated on the Register Tab - Aug 28th. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed after Aug 12th, although we will do our best to order appropriately.

Polish Power   August 7, 2018 at 9:17pm

I was looking on the about page.

Dom Diaz    July 31, 2018 at 9:33pm

Quick question about the division prizes. On the website it says the Rec and lower divisions payout will be given in trophies. Does this mean no disc voucher payouts for those divisions?

Mark Janssen   July 31, 2018 at 10:02pm

That is correct. Rec divisions are trophy only, but get the full $100+ players package. Rec also only plays 4 rounds on Sat/Sun, no Mon play

Joe Battaglia Meatbawl    July 14, 2018 at 2:00am

can i please be dropped to ma3

Mark Janssen   July 14, 2018 at 10:11am

division changes xan be handled by registrants using the link in your confirmation email from Disc Golf Scene

Joe Battaglia Meatbawl   July 17, 2018 at 6:26pm

thank you i just changed it

Kevin Nollmeyer    July 5, 2018 at 2:08pm

If the parkside course at Barnett is not ready, would the north side still be used? I was also curious as to when a decision regarding this will be made? Thanks in advance for any info

Mark Janssen   July 5, 2018 at 7:13pm

The North course will be used either way. The decision of adding a fifth course will be made in enough time in order to allow anyone to still withdraw with full refund. That way if anyone doesn't only want to play four courses or doesn't like the fifth course added they can still maker an informed decision.

Josiah Gorman    July 5, 2018 at 1:55pm

I have a conflict and need to withdraw. Thanks!

Mark Janssen   June 29, 2018 at 1:14am

Registrants can now change division and enter PDGA numbers by using the link sent on your receipt form DGC. The system will either ask for more money or refund division change differences. Give it a try, it's a great new feature.

Kevin Nollmeyer    June 26, 2018 at 12:43am

Curious as to the players pack for amateurs and the payout schedule, how much of the fee to payout, and the payout method?

Mark Janssen   June 26, 2018 at 4:19am

The players pack will be a variety of merchandise with a majority being NOT discs. Typically the top 30% of the larger divisions will have some payout which is redeemed that day at the event store.

Kevin Nollmeyer   June 26, 2018 at 5:49pm

Thank you for the information. I was also curious as to a breakdown of the entry fee, and how much of the entry fee will go to pay out. Thanks in advance for this information

Mark Janssen   June 27, 2018 at 3:26pm

That is information that rarely is determined this far in advance on any event. But as a guide, in the past for this event we have leaned more toward the PDGA true amateur format, so it is more heavy on players pack than payout so that everyone benefits. As an estimate after pack, PDGA, EDGE, trophies etc, Intermediate will have about $15 and advanced $25 per person towards payout.
