Hey Mark, is it too late for me to move up divisions?

Mark Janssen   August 31, 2017 at 5:11am

Sorry, you missed it by a day. To far into the set-up process at this point.

Tony DeNauro    August 30, 2017 at 10:33pm

Hello Mark , how set up the line-up for the advanced senior grand masters. Will we all be playing together or in three's? What happened to the legend who was signed up.

Mark Janssen   August 30, 2017 at 11:25pm

Your division will go out in two groups of 3

Jesse Arzola    August 30, 2017 at 4:11pm

Mark can we get a late entry into JRIII? We will be in town this weekend and wanted to get out son in the tournament.

Mark Janssen   August 30, 2017 at 4:49pm

Sorry, registration has closed. With the size of the SAC, we need to close earlier than most events in order to properly prepare all the items for a smooth event.

Jesse Arzola   August 30, 2017 at 6:17pm

No worries. I fully get it.

Mike Cain    August 29, 2017 at 9:14pm

Hey Mark. Will there be a booklet at the tournament with course layouts, or should we print it when you send it?

Mark Janssen   August 29, 2017 at 11:31pm

I will send out the program late this evening electronically (and post on website). It will also be provided as part of the players pack.

Joe Baley    August 29, 2017 at 2:06am

MA2 is now separated into pools? Is this strictly for course assignments, or will the payouts and division in general become divided?

Mark Janssen   August 29, 2017 at 2:22am

The division has almost 100 people which forces the need for two Pools. The MA2 division Pools will play at Barnett park on Saturday. After the second round the two pools will be reshuffled and depending on your standing, you may be allocated into a different pool for the remainder of the event. All ... more

Mark Janssen - My rating dropped below 900, so I am now eligible to play Advanced Grandmaster. Move me if you need my spot in Intermediate... I'll pay the extra $10. Doesn't matter to me, always a good time. Michael Kochersperger 35822

Mark Janssen   August 28, 2017 at 5:43pm

Rating doesn't effect the age protected divisions, only that (in this case) that you turn 50 to 59 this calendar year. We don't need the spot in Intermediate as we are going to Pool play.

jeremiah ray    August 28, 2017 at 1:57pm

Will there be updated tee signs on all holes? I played Parkside when there was construction and it was kind of confusing. The woods course was kind of difficult to navigate as well.

Mark Janssen   August 28, 2017 at 2:03pm

You will be supplied a Program with maps and distances during check-in and also via email on Tuesday. On the Woods course all the baskets have arrows hanging from them pointing you to the next tee. Parkside has been reset to historical layout with one or two tweaks.

Cheryl Zimmerman    August 28, 2017 at 12:24pm

Mark... will there be an email or something to let us know which park we should show up at Saturday morning, or should ee come friday nite to doubles to find out?

Mark Janssen   August 28, 2017 at 2:01pm

something will go out by tuesday and will say final on website. Also I will be sending you an email later today about potential division size issues. Unless Lynda Voss plays with you and Candy, you will only have two people and we'll need to transfer you two to another division. Will let you know this evening.

Daniel Parish    August 23, 2017 at 5:18pm

Mark, What time is the Bill Frederick park going to open. I know that the site says 8:00 AM. Is it going to open earlier for the Tournament?

Mark Janssen   August 23, 2017 at 5:42pm

That park isn't very cooperative with anyone so I'm sure it will be at the standard time, which should be 8. Sometimes they open a little sooner but can't guarantee anything. BFP will be open a little early on Sat.

Mark Janssen   August 23, 2017 at 5:42pm

Sorry I read that as Barnett Park. Bill Frederick should be open by 7:45

Daniel Parish   August 24, 2017 at 1:31am

ok, thanks

Ricky Meadows    August 23, 2017 at 4:41pm

Pm sent for withdrawal

all withdrawals and division changes must be sent via email to [email redacted]

Chuck Brunke    August 21, 2017 at 9:26pm

Hey guys, I just want to verify. MG1 is play the short pads (where available) on the Woods course?

Mark Janssen   August 22, 2017 at 12:31am

Actually on all courses (where available)

scott music    August 19, 2017 at 3:05am

Will all intermediate be playing in the same park each day? Just wondering so my brother and i can carpool

Mark Janssen   August 20, 2017 at 12:36pm

It is highly likely that will be the case, but can not be confirmed until registration closes and we can determine all the sizes of the divisions. This effects how the divisions are allocated to the courses. We will announce the final schedulen about a week before the event

scott music   August 20, 2017 at 8:17pm

Cool thanks!!!!

Jeff Eden    August 16, 2017 at 11:55am

Would like to change from rec to adv grand master division.

Mark Janssen   August 16, 2017 at 12:45pm

please send email to [email redacted] with your request. You will also need to send PayPal payment of $20 to [email redacted] to cover the difference in the registration fees. Please note in payment and request the name, pdga number and divisions you would like.

Daniel Parish    August 10, 2017 at 4:57pm

Was just curious about the advance class. I thought if your listed as a professional and have taken money, you were not allowed to play in amateur only events.

sorry, there are exceptions allowed

Kyle Deck   August 11, 2017 at 1:24am

Below 970 is still able to be an AM.. I think that's good... if you're cashing and rated below 970, you shouldn't be forced to play open all the time

Kyle Deck   August 11, 2017 at 1:24am

Also there is only 1 player who meets this criteria.. not a big deal

Polish Power    August 9, 2017 at 12:53pm

If somebody that lost a bet was to show up wearing a leotard and tutu made of dri-fit/polyester fabric with fabulous colors, would that meet the A-tier requirements within your definition Mark? asking for a friend, lol!

Mark Janssen   August 9, 2017 at 5:21pm

if the shirt is either dry-fit or has a collar///all good. As far as the bottoms, many women wear leggings or yoga type pants so fair is fair.

Buddy Thornton    August 7, 2017 at 2:57pm

Will the AGM play red pads or white pads on T2? I know you said short pads but I just wanted to confirm.

Mark Janssen   August 7, 2017 at 7:26pm

There will be no white pads used on the T2 course for this event.

Robert Cruz    August 5, 2017 at 4:02am

Looking on the SAC website, and can't seem to find tee and course assignments for rec. Have you guys made it public yet?

Should have said "playing PAST Sunday"

Mark Janssen   August 7, 2017 at 7:27pm

Trophies for divisions not paying on Monday will be available on Sunday or at awards on Monday

Paul Cloutier   August 8, 2017 at 12:07pm

Thanks!

Max Caico    August 2, 2017 at 9:44pm

Can you tell me which courses theJumiors will be playing on?

Mark Janssen   August 3, 2017 at 1:25am

Final course configuration have not been decided as registration numbers are still growing effecting what divisions go of which course. This isn't final but I'm guessing that the Original course at Bill Frederick will be the course that isn't played.

Kyle Deck    July 24, 2017 at 6:38pm

Hey everyone.. looking forward to labor day weekend! Wanted to check in to see if there had been any decision on if the white pads on T2 would be used. I'll be spending the next couple weekends in Orlando practicing and wanted to make sure I was practicing the right pads

Mark Janssen   July 24, 2017 at 4:35pm

It's looking more and more doubtful on whites for the MA2 division. The work needed on additional clearing and re-balancing the pads on The Woods and then a Barnett Park refresh on the Parkside course most likely will not allow the proper work needed to get the whites ready.
