Good Morning Everyone! Thank you all so much for pre-registering for the South Side Series Showcase at LTP tomorrow (5/30/25). We're excited about seeing everyone and psyched to throw a round of golf on a beautiful piece of property with friends!

Speaking of, there is a volunteer workday on 5/31 hosted by Sand Ridge Disc Golf Club.

Just some formalities, tomorrow's weather looks great until about 8pm. If you're made of sugar and looking to stay dry, I would recommend starting your round before 5pm. Tee times will begin at 3pm and conclude at 6pm with registration closing at 5pm. If you have a friend that keeps telling you that they are planning on playing, tell them to pre-register.

We will likely be setup somewhere near hole 1 and 18. Look for the green awning/tent to check in.

We will be slinging hot dogs and mexican street corn as well so bring a few bucks and an appetite. Water will be provided free of charge to all players and caddies. At check in you'll be given a $15 south side swag coin that can be used towards anything in the shop. You'll be able to choose from discs to accessories, custom gear and clothing. We certainly don't have everything but I'm sure we have something for you.

If this is your first tournament, thank you so much for joining us. This is a laid back, fun way to experience a sanctioned event. You'll be able to set the energy on your card and determine your level of competitiveness.

Please form your own card of 3-5 players. If you do not have a card but know about when you'll be arriving, use the comment section to try and setup your own group. If all else fails, I will do my best to find you a group. If you're arriving after 5pm and need a group, please reach out ahead of time.

Please abide by all PDGA rules, be sure you're using a marker and watch your rate of play. The course plays in under two hours for a foursome which is about 5-7min max per hole. If you're taking longer than that, be sure to pick up the pace to allow everyone time to get in their round.

We will have division appropriate CTP's so everyone will have a chance to win something!

Everyone will be required to keep score either via PDGA Live Scoring App or via a paper scorecard. I would recommend downloading the Mobile App as it is much easier. The password to access the event is LTP.

LTP is a multi-use park, please be courteous of all pedestrians and be sure to never throw if you can't see your landing zone.

Thank you to everyone who played yesterday. I truly appreciate the support you all show to these flex starts and hope you all had a great time. It sounds like the floor was set for some huge Personal Records!
Congratulations to each and every one of you that win your division yesterday. If you didn't leave with a trophy, I'll have one for the next times our paths cross. I hope to see you all at Countryside DGC in Portage Indiana on July 25. Registration is open already and the first 20 preregistrants will get something new to show our appreciation.

Ezra R. who was our only Junior player in the event and at 14yrs old shot his personal best.

Ryan Kaltz who took down the 50/50 Cash pot on hole 11.

Aaron N for smashing the ace on hole 5 and taking down the pot.

Jonathan Gibson for his unprecedented bogey free -13 and first 1000 rated round of his career (AM2). Good win buddy.

We had 15 players that were not PDGA members that likely played their first event. As a Tournament Director this was a "personal best" for me. It's certainly our goal to introduce this sport to as many people as possible in a friendly, less formal setting. These flex starts are an awesome approach and I'm ecstatic all of these new players were able to join us. I hope you all consider a PDGA membership and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
